i'm 44, 2 slipped discs and an artificial hip and proud to report that there is nothing i won't ride. the sissies at ki are always complaining about the roughness of sob but, i ride it over and over.
^ I'm a big fan of Beast and Son of Beast but just felt beat up after the rides. I guess I am a sissie...

but obviously you still ride them. actually the beast is rougher now than sob. the new trains on sob are much better. there is a rumor that the g-trains from gl are going on the beast next year due to the success of these trains on sob. we'll have to wait and see.
I know that I have many sinus problems. I have to watch the spinning! I am on nasonex and it works great! This was the first summer in many years that My sinuses were under control! I know when would ride the Loop at Geauga LAe, I would close my eyes on the loops so my balance would be ok! I didn't have that problem on the Dominator. On the Raptor , I know I would put my head deep into the seat and I would be OK. I hope this helps the fellow sinus sufferers!
My sinuses and allergies have always caused me trouble on coasters. I have to make sure I have taken my meds, drink lots of water and always have a decongestant and motrin on hand. Those g's and direction changes can cause stuff to move around and at times may make my head feel like it may explode! :)
My uncle is 46 and he's quite the daredevil. He had cancer in his right arm and had to get it amputated and he still rides Dragster front//back row! But, he had to hold out the past two years because of a herniated disc in his back. I don't know, but if a problem like that ever happened to me, I would probably still risk going. I love Cedar Point that much (:

The sinuses being important for sense of equilibrium/balance.
Could you elaborate on that just a bit? This might help explain a problem I had at the Point this year that I had never encountered before.
Others have already said pretty much what I know.. basically if my sinuses are bad, my balance is bad, and I'm more prone to motion problems, especially on spinning rides or coasters with higher Gs. My guess is that it has to do with the fact that our balance sense is located in the inner ear and is affected by sinus pressure and congestion. I'm not a doctor and it's been a long time since I took anatomy, but that's the basics as I recall them.
This is one (of many) reasons I'm really glad to have a season pass for next year, so if I'm having a day where the sinuses act up, I wont feel the pressure of this being my only visit of the year and I MUST ride all the rides. I can listen to the body and ride accordingly. Of course, I'll stack the deck in my favor with antihistamines and decongestants anyway! :-)
Well I'm 55 and went to CP as a teen and have gone the last 22 years. As a teen I was afraid to go on Blue Streak, but rode the Scamper and Cedar Creek MR. The last few years I have taken Raptor off my list, it seems to take a lot out of me, but still ride MF, Magnum and tried and liked Maverick and Top Thrill for the first time. As an old f**t I miss the Frontier Lift, Mill Race and the Surf Lounge. Over the last 22 years I have gone through the stroller rental experience to having drinks with my kids at Fridays. CP has always been a part of my family, my mother actually spent part of her honeymoon there.
