Food in the Park

What are the best places to eat in the park?

The only places I have eaten are Macaroni's and Midway Market. They were both pretty good, but I was just wondering if there are better places to eat in the park.

Thank you

Los Gatos cafe has good tacos. Cheese on a stick is good too. Panda Express is good. Or you can come to the coffee shop in the hotel and eat :).

They have cheese on a stick at my local fair and it is awesome.

Actually, I am looking for restaurants to eat at, since I am going to CP with my grandparents and they want to sit down and eat.

The Place I always eat my big meal at is TGI Fridays which is not technically in the park, but its on the Peninsula in the Hotel Breakers, there is also a Famous Dave's at the Marnia (also within walking distance on the Point) and inside the park there is a Johnny Rockets and the Game Day Grill but those places are usually packed.

One of my favorite places to go to is Coasters, it's like a old diner sort of. They have amazing Milkshakes and nice big and juicy burgers. It's located where the road splits off and one way goes to the Millennium and the other goes to the Dragster.

If your Grandparents enjoy being by the water, Bay Harbor and Famous Dave's in the CP Marina are good choices.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I've always liked Breakwater Cafe for their view too. I hear it's been changed this year, but no confirmations from people at the park this year.

Yes, Breakwater has a great view, and the screened in patio is very nice if it is not too hot outside.

I haven't been there yet this year, so I don't know what the menu is. But, I don't think any big changes were made to the restaurant over the off season.

I always eat dinner with my wife at TGI Fridays. I love being able to sit down in a nice, air conditioned restaurant and have a drink after a great day of riding rollercoasters. The food is really good and the view of Lake Erie and the walk on the boardwalk to the restaurant is very nice and enjoyable. Yes, I can go to a Friday's whenever I want here in my hometown, but there is just something about eating at the one at Cedar Point that makes it better than the rest.

Rest in Peace MrScott

Justin - what are the coffee prices like at the Breakers? Say, something like a shot of espresso, or a large black coffee?

I might kill some time in there this weekend, provided I don't have to pay $5 for simple coffee.

Josh, Justin can correct me, but when I stayed in Breakers on opening weekend, the Coffee Shop wasn't much of a Coffee Shop other than regular Starbucks Coffee. They don't have an espresso machine, or milk steamer from what I could tell. So it's probably similar to buying a cup of Starbucks from Donut Time.

Starbucks is cool with me, as long as I can avoid the frilly stuff.

You mean you aren't a fan of a skinny double mocha latte with whip?...haha

Is that what you consider the "frilly" stuff?

I am a fan of the mini-corndogs and fresh cutt fries combo! You can find this at the food stand back by Meanstreak or at the FFesh cutt fry stsand under raptor. the combo is only like $6 for a handfull of fresh (Not frozen) frenchfries and like 6 mini corndogs.

I've always loved TGI Fridays and Famous Dave's for a sit down deal. Great (non-park) food, so you know it's as good as you would get at a real restaurant outside an amusement park.

As for in the park, I'm a big fan of the fresh cut fries, near Raptor, Mean Streak and near Peanuts Playground. Also the Saloon places back in Frontiertown have some good stuff.
