I've only eaten at one place. The employee cafeteria. Wasn't terrible, but wasn't great.

I like how there's substance to your post.
Next time try not to eliminate that part.
to answer your question, the only thing I've eaten from there are the french fries near the ElDorado and the Ben and Jerry's waffle cones. Nothing else appeals to me, and I usually leave and drive across the street where you have a plethora of fast food restaurants to choose from.

Don't forget Chipotle! That's a brilliant concept. Decorate the place in stainless steel and simple fixtures, simplify the line but stock it with high-quality food, play trendy music, people will flock. It doesn't even require much technology the way traditional fast food does (just a cash register). Absolutely brilliant.

mmmmm... Chipotle is about the only "fast" food I will eat. I prefer Baja Fresh, but it's way expensive comparitively.
I'm all about the chicken burrito bowl with a Corona or Negro Modella :)

My favorite GL trip place to eat is the Hibachi restaurant across the street. It's very good and its fun to watch those chefs toss their knives and food around through the air. On my last visit our chef made an onion volcano that spewed steam and fire inches from my face.

I haven't eaten there yet Richie. Been meaning to try it since it opened.
As for the onion volcano Benihana (my favorite place to eat even if we do average about $100 a dinner for the 2 of us) has been doing it since around 1964 if memory serves. ;) *** Edited 7/29/2005 3:00:02 PM UTC by Red Garter Rob***

The place in the water park. I forget what its called but it has wings, pizza and all that great stuff. They have tables outside and they play music by Jimmy Buffet. Great atmopshere.

Food quality at Geauga Lake is something that needs to be worked on. The same goes for variety. I have had good experiences this year at the new "Pizza Pier" restaurant in WWK. The pizza is allright. Geauga Lake's new gimmick "Picnic By The Lake" costs almost as much as Midway Market, yet lacks variety and some of the given food choices are what I would call cheap. The meal consists of all you can eat fried chicken and hot dogs for 12 bucks. Thrown in with the deal are unlimited soft drinks and ice cream bars.

Turkey Legs are the other food item found throughout the park. Seems like an attempt was made earlier as to make this a 'signature food' for the park. Hamburgers can be found at All-American Grille and Checkers and that basically sums up your food options. It just seems like their should be a little bit more choices. I have yet to visit Beachcombers so I can't comment on that.
My food location of choice?
Currently it's the McDonald's outside the park where for four bucks you can get your value meal plus unlimited refills...
And now the taco bell in the park is gone as well. It was replaced by a place called "los gatos"........hmmmm, that sounds like a place just a few miles west.
The food at the park is horrid. It seems like all they have is burgers, chicken, pizza, and hot dogs. We need more choices.
How about ribs, or a sit down restaurant like midway market. Give me something that I cant get at a gas station.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.

Yeah, I feel the same way, as I mentioned in my reviews of the park. My going theory is that you need more people in the park to support a more diverse line, but I also think that attendance is pretty good these days. They've gotta be thinking about a better menu for next year.

Earlier this year I attempted to have a good sit down meal in the park, but after seeing that the Beachcombers menu was nothing more than cheeseburgers and chicken fingers, we headed for the car and across the street.

Unfortunately, the one food item I tried at Geauga Lake last weekend was, in addition to being horribly overpriced, badly prepared and didn't taste very good.
The truly sad part? The product in question was a $4.27 Sno Cone.
How do you screw up a Sno Cone?

(In this case, they let the shaved ice sit too long before serving it, using wet, clumping ice instead of dry, shaved ice...and the flavor syrup was not very flavorful.)
And you paid more than four bucks for frozen colored water! :)

Speak for yourself. I'll spend a lot of money on crap at an amusement park, but ice is not one of them.

...And oddly enough, I'm normally NOT one to spend a lot of money on crap at amusement parks. And while Geauga Lake is charging WAAAY too much for theirs, a good Sno Cone is worth some cash, especially on a hot day. Unfortunately, Geauga Lake's Sno Cone was not good.
I still think one of the best I've had was the very confused "Genuine New Orleans Style Hawaiian Shave Ice" that I had a few years ago at the Pumpkin Show...

Whats a "cut of ice"?
