Food at cp

They also had a BBQ set up by Grist Mill Refreshments that featured turkey legs. These were also very tasty and seemed popular.
I forgot about the turkey legs. Is it just me or does anyone else feel like Fred Flintstone eating one of these legs?
Tim B, I saw a temporary stand in the area you mentioned toward the end of the season but they were selling "wraps" (I believe chicken/or steak). It appeared to be some sort of "testing area". Not much signage but people would stop and purchase.

in actuality the turkey legs are not turkey but emu i am serious disney world does the same thing. That is why they are so large and pink not grey like normal dark meat.

magnum of MF now that is a real question.
I used to love the corndogs. That was several years ago and I've since become a vegetarian. Any ideas of decent quick meatless food besides pizza and french fries?
"temporary stand in the area you mentioned toward the end of the season but they were selling "wraps" "

Maybe it was a testing site. There were no signs when I saw them doing burgers. Just a few Foods people, a cooler, table, a big grill, and a crowd. :)

"turkey legs are not turkey but emu "

I never saw those, but I would try them. I think it would be neat to get unusual stuff at CP, like Buffalo Steaks, or Ostrich Burgers.

Cheese-on-a-stick is fried in animal fat, isn't it?

A nice cold ICEE does it for me! Where do you get Cheese on a Stick? It sounds gross but I'll try it if someone tells me where to get it!

Jeff, actually no. It is 100% vegetable oil. In fact, I THINK that everything fried is fried in vegetable oil and I also thinkg that some stuff is fried in peanut oil too, but I don't what stuff is. Jenn care to help on this one, or any food people?
Kyle, there are 2 places to get the phenomenon known as cheese-on-a-stick. You can get it at Transport Refreshments near the space spiral, and White Water Refreshments (aka Sagebrush Sue's) back by the Mean Streak, Lusty Lil's, and White Water Landing.

Man, I never thought there would be a topic where we describe what the food at amusement parks is cooked in. If we eat this kind of food in general than we usually dont care how its made. "Tastes great, but unhealthy"!. Speaking of unhealthy does CP sell beer? There is nothing like a nice tall cold brew on a hot summer day while waiting in line for a scream machine.
Never tried cheese on a stick. It doesn't sound all that tempting! Would it kill them to throw a couple veggie burgers in a stand here and there?

My usual strategy (because I'm cheap) is to pack a picnic lunch and keep it in a cooler in the car, bit of a walk but just more incentive to get there early to get a closer parking space.
Chitown, CP sells beer in a few of the sit down restaurants, as I'm sitting here Lusty Lil's, Red Garter Saloon and Last Chance Saloon come to mind. There may be others but those are the ones I remember.

Hey, if it tastes good and can be cooked in vegetable oil, then I'm all for it. It's so much better for you than beef fat, and I tend to eat a lot of CP food over the summer, so it does make a difference.
Anyone remember the Cheeseburger on a stick? They had them about 10 years ago. But only for a year or two. A friend of mine was the first person to buy one.

I've heard that part of the secret of the french fries was that they are fried in peanut oil. Don't know if it's true or not.

I remember the cheeseburger-on-a-stick. I believe they were around in the late 80's. It was a great product.

Yes, peanut oil it is for the fries. I know this only because they have signs posted. Eating them if you're allergic would be extrodinarily bad.

Of course, eating them isn't good for you anyway...

Cheeseburger on stick were good. Too bad they got rid of them. Just like the Pirate Ride, but I guess that's another topic.
Thank you "cheeseonastick" I will have to try it.

My favorite - Frontier Pizza
Wife's favorite - mini corndogs (ugh)

Someone mentioned about the beer...at one time, didn't they sell it along the midway? Or do they still?
