Food

CP's food is great! The burgers at Coasters are nice and juicy, the omlettes in the Breakers Coffee Shop are the best, and the Midway Market has great food - all-you-can-eat, for one low price. My only gripe is Pepsi- I hope the Coke rumor becomes true. Besides, how bad is PKI's food, anyway? And what food can you get at SFO?

I cant afford to buy food @ CP when I go-always pack my own. However-I will agree that the burgers @ Coasters are yummy-had one on MFs Press Preview Day. As for the coke rumor though
UGH--I love Pepsi and Dew!!

Welcome back Raptor riders-how was your flight??
I dissagree, I had a dry tasteless burger last season at Coasters.

For me, Midway Market is the way to go. Plus, you aren't hungry again 2 hours later!!
That free water is pretty good too, and you can't beat the price :). I usually just eat a bunch before I leave and digest during the 1.5hr trip there. Then I don't have to eat much during the day (which means less chance of motion sickness!)
I hope my 10 and a half hour drive is worth it! For the money and time Ive been putting in to this trip to Cedar Point I hope My family and I have a great time! We Leave tomarow at 5 in the morning!
One choice: Frozen custard with strawberries. *Grin*

Ok, this is a little biased, but when several high brass in Food Services tell you and your supervisor that your burgers are some of the best in the park, then well I guess that they are. I worked at Charlie Brown's Cookout in Camp Snoopy and we cook on a open flame grill, and our burgers are AWESOME!!!!
The nachos at Dastardly Dan's/ Coyote Cody's near MF are really good too!
The best homemade fries in the park are at Happy Friar.

I bought a "Giant Cookie" at Red Garter during one of the shows. They brought me a "medium" cookie in a prepackaged bag. And it tasted prepackaged.

Speaking of cookies, what's the deal with making the cookies at the old Candy Factory smaller, but raising the price? What ever happened to real giant cookies?

OK Cheesonastick I'll have to agree with you on this one. The burgers at Charlie Brown's Cokout are the best in the park. Each burger is cooked "fresh" while you wait. I think this stand is a "hidden jewel" in the park. Even alot of the families in Camp Snoopy do not realize how good the food is.
Also, don't miss the Midway Market. It is because of someone on this board (DBCahill where are you?) talking about it that I even tried it and it is now a regular stop on most of our visits to the Point.
Does anyone else like the Apples with Hot Carmel poured over the apple pieces?
I dont think you can get much more fresh than pulling frozen chunk of cow out of freezer, and throwing on grill as soon as you order it. Well maybe if we had our own meatpricessing plant in the back it would be a little bit fresher *lol*. The Mac & Cheese we sold, even though it was $3.25, was really good too. Kraft Mac & Cheese. I ate at Silver Dollar for the first time on Aug 11, and it was some of the best food on Point too. And the prices are relatively cheap. I was surprised. 7 people ate for about $60, and we all got filled up too.
The onion rings at Silver Dollar Cafe have to be my favorite food at the park, although a close second is the Chocolate frozen custard near the water ball on the maim midway.
Whats up with the cheese fries this year?? They always seem to be under cooked and not as great as they usually are! This cant just be me..I go to CP once a week and usually got the chesse fries but not anymore..whats the deal with em?
One thing I'm *so* glad returned to the po!nt this year are the Belgian Waffles at Stockade (I think...). They were different when they used to have them, but are still incredible, and a very good portion of food for $3.25!

Hmm, hard choice, those Onion rings were very good. I think I'm going to try the burgers at CB cookout on WED (23rd). Me and screechnowl were thinking about stoping there a few times, it won't be as secret now becuase of the rock climbing though.

Los Gatos- Doesn't that mean the cats in spanish?
Cp food is alot better than most parks. But it is slipping closer and closer to Six Flags level in the last few years. (not there yet thank God) And the prices?....well I'm not even going to get started on that.
It could be alot worse I guess. (See any Paramount... the all time worst.)

Sorry, but when it comes to food...Kennywood rules.
I agree about the food at Kennywood. Those fries are the best!
