Fond Memories

Wondering if anyone has/knows where I can find pics of either Mill Race or Avalanche Run, pre-DT. I was poking around the pics here and started to feel a little nostalgic.

As a matter of fact, if there are any good sites with pics from like mid 80's of things that are either gone or moved, I'd love a link. Like I said, I looked through the pics hosted here, went through the history part, but I've never seen, specifically, pics of Mill Race or Avalanche Run.

Might as well give a couple of good memories from each ride... When I was a kid and went to CP with Mom & Uncle, Mill race was usually the first thing we'd hit, followed by Blue Streak. Back in the day when you'd actually have to wait to get on Blue Streak. :+)

Avalanche Run, the first year it opened I was in like 4th or 5th grade. Went that Summer with my best friend, right before he moved to NY. I think we waited in line three times that day to ride. I thought the bobsled thing was one of the coolest things ever. Ahh, the innocence of youth... ;+)

Wow, that brings back SOOOO many childhood memories! Man, the Fun House has to be my earliest memory of CP... For some reason, though, I remember it being above the Midway Arcade. If the last year was 81, I was only 3y/o at the time. Makes me think about how I was really raised on CP.

My mom still talks about the Sky Wheel once in a while. Just a bit before my time.

I still think they should bring back the Sky Slide. Good times. :+)
