Wow...what sick person came up with that ride?
I would probably try it once. Maybe.
(Okay, probably not.)

It reminds me of Maxair. I don't do spinning rides, but some will love it!
Life is like a rollercoaster! It is full of ups and downs
It sort of reminds me of a vertical Scrambler (or one arm of it, at least).

That thing looks like total bliss. You have to renember that at Cedar Point it would be on a bigger scale, slower, and the ride cycle wouldn't last as long.
Put me down for riding at least once.

Skyscraper spins on two axis, that thing in the video spins in 3 and would definitely be a totally different sensation.
Skyscraper is just 1 axis, which is why it doesn't make you sick.

I'm guessing he means the arm spins on one, and the seat can spin also.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
True. I guess it isn't two axis as far as the X,Y,Z directions are concerned. It's all a forward or backward motion.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
A lot of intense moves, but unless there is choice of ride programs I don't see many carnivals, let alone parks buying this. The cycle on the video is way too long for the American market. It's a lot of pig iron that's for sure.
I don't know if anyone knows this but I've heard there's only 1 of these rides in the entire world, so the likelyhood of it coming to CP is pretty slim because I'd like to think that Europe would want to keep that gem in Europe because if an amusement park got it they would just butcher it and make it into something nobody would want to ride. Take a look at Breakdance rides, when they first came out in the 80s they were run at ridiculous speeds and the only people who would go onto them would be over the age of 13, if you look at most of them in amusement/theme parks the only people who do re-rides are kids, like 7-12 because real thrillseekers would be embarrased to go onto it because it's so slow.
This Windsurf ride is a pretty cool variation on a Top Spin:

It's almost mindblowing at first, but thenit looks like it gets a little boring.

Yes, but the seat really doesn't spin unless you try to make it spin. If you just sit there, I have found that the seat only makes one rotation for every full rotation of the arm. I find it similar to riding a fast smooth roller coaster. Now, if you mess around to get the seat to spin, it can be a very intense ride. In doing so, I ended up having a few rotations where as I passed by the station, I was facing the ground. Those were some intense G's. :-) But, I don't think I'd ever consider it a disorienting ride. Unless maybe you have vertigo.
I would say the best description is that this is a cross between a Top Spin and a Frisbee.
I'm not sure I could ride that more than once in my life. :-) Pure craziness.
