Just took a peek at the webcams and things seem to be getting distressingly... splashy up at the Point. From my viewpoint on Camera 1 it looks like most of the parking lot is underwater.
I know this may seem a silly question due to CP being a nearly waterlocked property, but is crisis-level flooding something we should be worried about? Like... significant property damage scale flooding? This is a lot of rain already, and it's not set to let up for some time.
I dunno, I'm being kind of a nervous nellie I guess. :P I just saw that flooding parking lot and I'm like OH NO.

It doesn't look flooded to me, I just saw a car go through it...just looks like the pavement is extremely wet. Looks just like the main midway :D I'd say as long as we are seeing movement on property with different vehicles all will be okay.
I don't think it's something we as fans should be worried about...there are multiple parks that have been extremely flooded over the past few years and they've came out of the flood(s) fine. I look at Coney Island in Cincinnati....it has flooded more times than I can count on my fingers and toes, but they clean it up after and are ready to go on their opening day.
Tony Clark tweeted that WCO will still go on as planned, even with the wet weather.

Its not raining at a 2-3 inch per hour rate. Its just generally a steady light to moderate rain that will accumulate to a couple of inches over days. There will be lots of standing water around but there wont be any widespread catastrophic flooding.

Rougarou, Iron Dragon, and Snake will just be closed for high water...
I remember literally having to swim to check the low zone locks of Magnum before where the lift low zone used to butt up to Gemini after a good all night thunderstorm. The park will be fine.

I can't help but think that for the water levels to rise enough for a genuine threat to the park that we would need to be worried about it closing for any significant amount of time most of northern Ohio would be in trouble. The river in my backyard is at flood stage right now but honestly it would have to get a whole lot worse before I would worry about it.
Here is a little information for individuals concerned about flooding. Today, the lake water levels are over 2 feet above averages and it is just about to crest over the sheet wall in some of the low spots in the Marina. Average water height is 35" above LWD, right now it is 61.7". Those concerned about Lake Erie flooding the entire park, I think the threat is VERY low. Remember... rainfall does not affect the lake levels, it is the wind that causes the most change. Today it is gusting up to 32 knots NE which is causing the levels to rise. Whoa, just checked the webcams today, the beach is literally gone!! At least by wicked twister and windseeker. They say they want to build a boardwalk and add a bar at CP beach, but I don't think it's gonna happen this year and possibly the next few years if the lake keeps this up. I did read awhile back the lake does a 5 year low period and a 5 year high period cycle, and we are in the high period now. I hope some of my favorite beaches on the lake don't vanish!
Its all wind direction. A strong and sustained Northeast wind pushes the water up against the beach. You would be surprised how quick it recedes once the wind changes direction. The beach, boardwalk and beach bar project will all be fine. This happened a couple of times last year as well. If you are on the bay side in the CP marina, you can literally watch the water drop and rise with the wind.
