The glasses straps are cheap at CP. I forgot mine last year, expecting to ride blind, but in any gift shop, they sell the neoprene Cedar Point straps for $2.
lol! Don't know if I can make that exact date, depending on what we have going on during the summer. Plus, I don't even know if we're going.

Definitely get the glasses straps at the park. I was sure they would be cheaper at home. CVS got me for double what they get in the park($4) and they were blank...didn't even say CVS!
Plus you will look cool later when you use your CP glasses straps away from the park.
Cedar Point guest since 1974
Ok. Would love a strap that says CP! Thanks :)

First things first Cedar Point is a great park to have lots and lots of fun but the first ride I would ride would be Gemini because Gemini is like a taste of Cedar Point and its not too rough but you should still try to get in Top Thrill, Maverick, Millennium, and Raptor in they are the rides you must do. How to fix the phone problem is buying sweat pants in your size that feel conferrable for you and some sweat pants have zippers outside of the pockets to keep phones, wallets, keys, and other intangibles. But of course WELCOME TO CEDAR POINT HAVE FUNNN!

Thanks, Shaun. My mom also said Gemini would be a good first ride. Also, I would have never thought of the sweat pants! Thanks!

Timmy, welcome to the thread. Glad to have a truly young adult on board.
I might suggest going midway first, and try a ride with a shorter line so that in case you hate it, you won't have wasted hours on end.
Blue Streak doesn't have a huge descent, but it has loads of air (if you sit in the back) and is usually a walk on during quieter days. Once you've conquered Blue Streak, might I suggest Magnum? Not as intense as Millennium, exponentially (vocab word) shorter lines, but a smooth ride with gorgeous views of the lake.
Gemini's wooden coaster rattling takes a bit of getting used to and it's a long ride. Not two things you necessarily want to pair with newbie butterflies.
I would absolutely avoid Maverick at first (boxes your ears, very intense, insane lines) or Mantis (ear boxing).
Good luck, hope you can make the trip. Please do write a trip report...it's always rewarding for us old timers to relieve our coaster youth through the eyes of the young. Use it as a book report for your homeschooling :)
