First timer

Hi, I am going to CP for the first time and was wondering if abyone has any advice on getting the most rides in 1 day. I am still not sure if it is worth staying at CP and getting early or if I should get to the main gates as early as possible. Also is their any order I should hit the rollar coasters to minimize wait times? I am going on a tuesday at the end of july. Also should I be running to TTD when I first get in so I don't have to deal with the huge lines the rest of the day? Should I be going to MF or Mantis first as I hear they have huge lines as well?

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Illini

I say ride whatever and just move from ride to ride. I managed to see 2 shows, and ride every ride except Corckscrew, Wicked Twister and Mantis, along with two rides on each TTD and MF, all before I left the park at 9. If you stick to ridding and moving from ride to ride you wil be fine and ride everything at least once.

In my experiances I have come up with a system that has worked for me on every trip to the point this year without using morning ERT.
First of all, make sure you get to the park at ten when it opens and enter through the Magnum entrance. Ride Magnum first, and then Gemini, then Mean Streak. Then hop the train and take it to the front station. By this time it will be eleven, so get off of the train and go to nearby Millennium Force to get a Freeway stamp. Since Mantis is nearby I usually go and get a freeway stamp there as well and more often than not have gotten the same hour for both. It seems to usually be 2-3, 3-4 or 4-5.
After getting the stamps, head over to Wicked Twister where it seems the line is always under 20 minutes. Then Disastor Transport which also has a very short line at this time.
By this time it should be around 12 and Dragster should be running. If there isn't much downtime you should be able to ride it before it is time to use your freeway stamps. After that use your freeway stamps and then take a break. I recommend one of their sit-down restaurants just outside the park like The Boathouse, Breakwater, or Fridays on the Beach. They are all nice, relaxing places to eat with good food that dosen't cost too much more than places inside the park(not to mention if you bring your parking ticket with you they will refund it and take $8 off of your bill-I wish I knew that when I paid for a parking pass).
By now it will probably be about 5, and the raptor line should be pretty short so head there.
And there it is, all the major coasters by 6 in the evening. Now you have the rest of the day to ride the extras or reride some of your favorites. I hope this helps, have a blast.

Ok, first of all, I hope you have a good time at CP! Ok, the order that I've done all the coasters in many times is, now this is without ERT, if you have it availiable, use it and get Millennium Force done, or Dragster if it is open,

Blue Streak, Corkscrew, Magnum, Gemini, Mean Streak, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, (Power Tower-not a coaster) Disaster Transport, Wicked Twister, Raptor, Iron Dragon, Wildcat, Millennium Force, Mantis, Top Thrill Dragster.

Now, I kind of skip around the park a little, And I go in the main enterance, but I always avoid raptor at the begining of the day because its the first thing everyone sees, so they hop in line for it. I have never used ERT, so I go to Millennium Force and Dragster later on in the day because the line dies down.

Arms down.....Arms down.....Arms down.......Arms down.....Arms down....Arms down...(you think they would get it the first time?!)

Um.. for hitting all the rides in one day, I would suggest looking here (worked for me).

Happy coasting,
