First Ride

I was wondering...what ride do you guys usually go to right when you go to Cedar Point? And what route do you take? Then what is your usuall ride "plan" of the day?

For me I always go to MF. I go in the park and take Sky Ride. Then get off and go straight there. After that is Mantis and then the back of the park. After Gemini I start heading back to the front.

Sounds about right. I do as I like to call "The Frontier Circuit." I take Sky Ride, get in line for the Force, Mantis, Mean Streak, Gemini, (any other Frontier Town rides that we are in the mood for), Magnum, Power Tower, and then up to Raptor, Blue Streak, Wicked Twister, maXair, Demon Drop, etc. Makes for a fun day!

We usually enter the resort (soak city) gate and do Maggie first (and last). Where we head from there is a toss up. A good day is to be had, for sure. :)

Everytime I've been back to CP since working there, I come with friends, at least one of them being new to the park.

I usually let the new person pick what they want to ride first (if they have a preference at all); Otherwise, we usually just start at the front and work our way around.

The first day we're there, I also never let the new person/people ride MF, until night, as the last ride of the day. Since, IMO, I feel it's an experience to ride it, and at night being the best (once again, IMO), I like to save the best for last.

Any other days we're there, we finish up what we haven't already ridden and then just start re-riding what we want.

Overall, no real plan to my visits (other than MF).

Well I've always entered through the Hotel Breakers entrance, and ran to Top Thrill Dragster with early admission, and go on that for the hour with parent swaps and everything. I can get at least 5 rides of Top Thrill Dragster in one hour normally :) Then I run to my favorite, Millennium Force, before it gets too busy.

But, since Top Thrill Dragster was closed late 05' season, I'd go through the Famous Dave's entrance and run to Millennium Force from there, getting first ride of the day front row many times :)

Then, after I do those coasters, I just kinda do whatever I really feel like. Raptor is normally third on the list though.

It really is hard to do what you wanna do, because there's so much you wanna do you just can't decide. That's what I love about Cedar Point.

What, NO Dragster!?:)

As for me....it's kind of obvious: Dragsters first as always:)(sometimes twice in a row since it's early in the morning and the lines not that long), Millennium(or Magnum then MF), Skyride to Raptor, lunch somewhere on the main midway, Wicked Twister, maXair, back to Dragster:), then to Iron Dragon and/or Wild Cat, Mantis, then the train(or walk) to FT. From there: Mean Streak, CCMR(depends), Gemini, Magnum, Dragster again, Power Tower and Dragster one more time to top off the day:).

As you can tell, I try to get at least 3 to 4 rides on Dragster in one trip. lol:D

I usually start and finish my day by riding the greatest ride in the world - the Magnum XL-200. :) And about 3/4 of the rides in between are also on that! ;) *** Edited 1/10/2006 1:45:34 AM UTC by MDOmnis***

First ride of the day is Millennium Force for me using marina enterance, and getting at least 2 or 3 rides in. Then I just go wherever else. But last year I was mad to find out they werent doing freeway stamps, after walking around for a half hour. I guess they just stopped giving them out on the day we went to the park when we were camping. But I still have to go on Millennium Force at night sometime.

I really have no plan, which is probably why I walk back and forth between the front and the Frontier area so much. One moment I'll be riding Wicked Twister and then I'll decide that I want to go ride Mean Streak, walk back there, decide I want to ride Blue Streak, walk there, so on and so forth throughout the day, with quite a few stops at Magnum for a foot break. But this season my first ride 7 out of 8 trips was maXair. *** Edited 1/10/2006 2:59:51 AM UTC by BlueStreak64*** *** Edited 1/10/2006 3:00:06 AM UTC by BlueStreak64***

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

Don't worry Adam, Dragster fits in there nicely as a first ride of the day. Nothing like a 120mph breeze in the morning. It all depends who I'm with. There are those who are up for anything and everything so they leave the decision making up to me, but there are those who draw the line at Dragster. I don't really know why, they say 420 feet it too tall, and I try to convince them that it only lasts a few seconds but I still can't break them. Even though I follow my "Frontier Circuit" on pretty much every trip it never gets boring. What can I say, I love the quiet on the Frontier Trail and Town in the morning.

Iron Dragon.

Yeah, that's right. I said it! Naw, actually, it's my sisters favorite coaster, and we had the privladge to ride the first ride of the day, front car. It was a nice wakeup call, considering it was the first coaster of 2005. Ahh... good times, good times.

I like to go on Blue Streak first. BS was my first roller coaster ever...so it's kind've a tradition to always ride it first. Plus, its a nice "break in the day" ride, and gets that stomach ready for the rest of the day. I always do the old "build-up", so usually after that we head to ID, CS (if the lines are short), Gemini, , Magnum, WT (2 or 3 times), Maxair, and then onto Raptor, Mantis, and then TTD and MF. We always try to get on Raptor, TTD and MF more than once, but now freeway is gone so our plans are shot! We had quite a system down by the close of last season.

We always skip DT and Mean Streak. Ugh...please tell me they will do something to salvage MS soon.

Im looking forward to the new look of Frontier Town next year...anyone else? New lighting package = good! (just like the front of the park last year).

Magnum, Gemeni, Mean Streak, Train, Power Tower, then its usually roam around and do whatever sounds good or doesn't have a long line. After seeing days where TTD and Millennium only have 15 minute waits, I don't think I'll ever be able to get myself to wait over an hour for those rides again.

I ride Dragster until the line is too long then go up to wicked Twister for awhile and then back to dragster for the rest of the day/night.

Now that I can go to CP all by myself (yes I'm still only 16) I think that's what Im going to do. :)

There is no better way to start or end a day. We start with Maggie and then wander up to the front (hitting whatever is open on the way) to grab some breakfast at Donut Time. From there, its just whatever seems like a good idea.

My plan: Ride what has a short line.
If no ride has a short line, consider visiting Soak City.

TTD is first because you never know when it will break down for the week.

<Matt>
101 on Magnum and counting...

MF or TTD, if I get there early. If not, then hitting maxAir, DT, trokia, WT, and Ocean Motion isn't too bad to start the day. Its pretty nice over there by the lake early.
