first half of the season

Anything about dragster that happened or was in place before July, I knew as much as the mechanics, if not more. I'm curious to know if anyone has any info on major ride changes since the beginning of July, and if you have any questions about before then you can direct them towards me and expect to get an accurate answer. For those of you who know who I am, I'd love to chat about CP stuff.

can you explain the decision to only fill the dragster trains half full? and how is this related to the rollbacks either increasing or decreasing?

and when is the theming coming back?

I'm a mature person, I can take the hits. The people who know who I am know I'm not lying or being sarcastic. The reason I knew more than the cedar point mechanics at the beginning of the season was because they weren't at the ride until May, some of them mid may. I was there from April 1st on, running the ride. The intimin mechanics were there then, and would tell a curious operator what was going on. The filling of the trains half way was because the catch car was too weak and they had to get a new one made... this is also the reason that the trains were short from the day the ride opened until after memorial day. Look at the pictures from the first few weeks... 12 seats. I doubt that the theming on the trains will come back, it can't withstand the launch. I also launched the first train over the hill, I launched the first loaded train, was the first operator to read the manual, and my atl and I were on the first train after the men with ties. Anything else?

The train only had 12 seats on Media Day and Opening Day. May 9, when the park opened the following week all 16 seats were there. If the catch car couldn't handle all 18 passengers at the end of the season then why were the loading all the seats for a short period on Closing Day. I'm not saying you're wrong but this doesn't make since to me.

I left in July, I don't know what happened past then. I didn't say anything about knowing things at the end of the season. I just want to know what happened after I left. Someone like red garter rob can answer my question, someone who worked on the ride.

The gold train didn't come back till after memorial day, the catch car did get fixed sooner than that, thus adding the car that was taken away in the beginning. My memory is a little rusty, but there's still a lot there. That ride was my life, I worked 98.5 hours there opening week. I left when I found my fiance and we decided to start our lives together away from the stress of Cedar Point. I know some things that cedar point actually managed to keep pretty quiet, and some things that they didn't. I just want to know what happened after I left, that's all.
Brian Short, you know me. How did you not know that intimin mechanics were at the ride all day every day until mid May, Christian was the name of the mechanical engineer that worked on the ride. Joe was the electrical engineer, he was still there when I left. When did your contract start this season?
Ahhh...after reading your last post, now I know who you are. I hope you've been doing good (which it sounds like it).

As for anything happening after you left, they went throught a couple TL's, had a "separation" issue (I don't remember if you were there for that though), and various other problems. The crew itself did awesome, and I got to work there for a HalloWeekend. They finally got rid of the Freeway booth that was sitting you-know-where. They had a brake-run heating problem with all the rollbacks, so they had to hook up a system for that (gets you a little wet sometimes). Most people stopped majorly complaining about this point. Once the mechanics and engineers got their heads screwed on and decided to hardcore work on the thing, I seemed like it worked awesome. TTD's downfall is that it will not be very good in the cold (or windy) weather.

Yellow train with 5 cars March 27th.
Green train with 4 cars April 29th.

I believe during CM it was mentioned that the yellow train simply arrived late.

pastop, what in fact happened between those two dates to cause such inconsistency? The same thing happened to Xcelerator during testing.

I don't remember exactly what was said at CM, but yellow train wasn't simply late.

It was there at the beginning. It's in the construction pictures when they first put the trains on. But then it went away and came back later.

Anyways, it shouldn't matter to anyone here. If you know what happened, then congratulations. It's not like there's anytthing you can do about it.

And for legality reasons, anything that happens at the park should not be discussed anywhere else. If they want you to know, they will tell you.

SORRY! I can not (and will not) tell anything that happened in the park, that isn't already widely public knowledge. Maybe someone else doesn't cherish their job or personal possessions.

So why even say anything? Managemt reads this crap you know, if you go advertising that you "know things" they'll know it. I mean, who cares? Some people know who 'pastop' is, and obviosuly they aren't looking for employment at CP anymore. I, along with 99% of the people that have worked there know stuff that shouldn't be spilled out everywhere, but we don't advertise that we have "secret information". I like my job, I don't know about you, Brian.

I hate the way that people twist things up here... I came to this site for one reason only. I have a lot of old friends that work at CP and I have no idea how to get ahold of them because the address book wasn't printed before I left. When I got on the site I saw a lot of inaccurate information and figured that mabe I could clear up some of the stuff. Never did I say that I was going to give away big secrets that everyone didn't already know. All the details in the beginning were to get the people who knew me to know it was me and write me. No I will never be employeed by CP again unless they start paying enough to live on or have more career positions, but I respect the stuff I know, or knew. So much of what I knew has changed and isn't accurate now. Why do people jump all over people here? My purpose has been fulfilled, the most important person I was trying to get ahold of wrote me back on the first day. Any of my other friends, my email is there. I'm sorry that I have to get ahold of you through here, but sometimes you have to do what you can. End of discussion for me, you guys can keep going if you wish to bash me some more. Do whatever you need to do to keep yourselves happy.
