First aid

I was wondering if there was a first aid station close to Dragster. Maybe a lot of people get unconcious during the ride, or is there a doctor in the que line who takes your blood pressure ;)

Excuse me if I spell some words wrong

I'm from the Netherlands, and I'm visiting The Point in May/June

I haven't read anything on new First Aid stations, so I belive it would go through the ones they currently have in place.

Theyre located at: Soak City, by the Wave Swinger, and by the Snoopy Boutique.

You know there's nothing good on TV when you're desperate enough to specifically look for infomercials.

No, didn't you read the press release? They are going to install 7 different first aid stations because we all know that the first objective Cedar Point is going for is to harm their own guests.

What is most anticipated event of 2003? the debut of Dragster, the release of Metallica's new album, the release of Terminator 3, or the release of Matrix:Reloaded...tough call.

Haha, nice profile picture Ronnie.

I don't know what kind of press release you've read.

Do you have an URL or a copy of it ?

2 years ago at SFH in the Netherlands a 13 year old girl died in the Robin Hood. There was no first aid station, and the ride operators didn't do nothing because they haven't first aid lessons. It tooks 20 minutes before the ambulance arrived. During that time a girlfriend of mine give the girl reanimation. She was a nurse, but it was hopeless. That's why I've asked this question.

Dragster is an insane ride, so I was wandering if they have a first aid station nearby

...a little disturbing if you ask me...(In regards to the photo)

...and why is Dragster any different from any other ride in the park, Sure its tall and fast. But if it was built right, nobody should get hurt on it. Might get a little woozy and maybe throw up. But i doubt anything serious. Unless ofcourse the person has some kind of condition and shouldnt be riding coasters at all. There are enough First aid places at CP, I seen alot of those mini ambulences in the park.

RonnieD that profile picture is hilarious. Good one

I agree, but it is worlds number one adrenaline ride, so I thougt CP put a First aid station close to the ride for secure.Maybe to give free pampers for the riders.I was almost ****ting in my pant's at my first ride of Millennium Force ;)

One of Cedar Point's most important areas is safety. This ride has been engineered to provide for that safety.

Now, accidents do happen. Unforseen safety issues can occur. In this event, Cedar Point does have its own mini-ambulances with registered nurses on-site. Of course, if something major were to happen, they'd call an ambulance to assist

Anyone remember back with the White Water Landing incident if an ambulance was called, and how long the response time was?

I remember when it happend. They called a Sandusky ambulance as well as a ladder truck. They went by Millennium Force while I was working. I didn't know at the time that they were for WWL though, but later I was filled in on the info. I don't know of the response time. Im sure it was good since there is a fire department at the end of the causeway.

I understand all your reply's, but if I was the park manager, and I'm responseble for the worlds tallest and fastest rollercoaster on the planet, I would take some extra safety rules. Expedition G-Force in Germany had a 90 degree drop, and I've seen people coming out sick and dizzy.

I mean when Dragster is to much for some people, it would be very nice that there is a first aid station were you can puke or drink a glass of water. But that's my vision of the story ;)

They already do that wherever they feel like. I know more people that would rather puke on the ride itself than walk to First Aid just to throw up. Why work when you can have someone else clean it up for you...

MANTIS ROCKS 2002 & 2003

The closest first aid station is not far (Soak City). There is a 4 station water fountain just within feet of the station exit, as well as bathrooms.

I don't think this ride is going to be so intense as to make people really sick, unless they a prone to that type of thing.

BTW, I love your picture as well!

It's practically a straight shot from the first aid station by Peanuts Playground to TTD. I do not think it could take more than 2-3 minutes with maximum crowds for the scooters to get to the ride. I don't think it will be a problem however.

ONE freeway stamp a day... ONE

OKAY, ENOUGH ALREADY!

I cant believe some of you people...you really think that they are going to make a ride, then make a first aid station for the ride, because they know its going to injure or hurt people? My guess (and this is a no brainer) would be that if the ride is going to be that dangerous-they would probably do something to fix it, wouldnt you think? Blood Pressure in line? C'mon.

I'm surprised this board hasnt been closed yet...

Gee Ronnie!

This picture of you

And this picture of you look really different!

(Then click on OnRide Photos and click on "Surprise!")

I personally don't think any more
First Aid stations would be required.
But, though it was a while ago there
was a full time nurse always stationed
at the Crystal Beach Cyclone since it
was so wild of a ride.

Here's a link to the rcdb with a description.
