Fire Water Show

I was at CP last month and that was the first time I've been there since they changed the 10pm laser show to the 10pm fire water show thingy, and I don't know about anyone else but my husband and I were bored and left afer 10mins.

Does anyone else miss the laser light show that they've had for years? Granted the laser show was almost the same year to year, but I think that it was better and more entertaining than what they have now. Plus the fire show has noting to do with CP at all it's just a bunch of random funky footage, in my opinion. CP had a good thing and shouldn't have changed it.

What do you all think?

I loved the laser show! It was really neat. After they got rid of it I stopped watching and went riding.

I like the new show they have now. I really don't remember the laser show that much but I really like the fire water.

There is only so much you can do with a jet of fire, as opposed to lasers that move around and can draw pictures with.

Keep the firewater, and bring back the lasers. Best of both worlds.

It doesn't matter to me eathier way. At that point of the night I am trying to squeeze in at least 2-3 more rides on Millie. :)

Wow you were actually able to make it 10 minutes into the show? The show really is a waste of time. The laser show was good for about 15 minutes then got old. I think Cp Can do better job finding more decent Nightime attraction. I am not saying it something that needs a big draw but something to cap the night of with some really nice Pryo. You know how Kings Island capped the night off with Decent fireworks Display, that would be cool.

Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.

Ageed. The laser show, though predictable, was a must see
for the family every year. We've seen fire water once and
probably never will again.

The show this year sucks! I don't understand the bunch of random things and cartoons in it ... I also dont like when the fire shoots up and you can no longer see the picture, just the white screen. This show is so boring, people were getting up and leaving in groups during it. And watching 20 different teams running around with a football for 10 minutes was really tacky

I was disappointed when we stayed there one night just to see them. My daughter was bored as soon as they got into the sports section and wanted to go.

The team thing might be cool for those who live in the area, but as coater pilgrims from a far off state, we don't know the teams. It was amusing for about 30 seconds to hear the boos/grunts as the different team rivalries were displayed by audience members, but that was about it. People around us were singing along with the music, so I really thought I was missing the point.

We were all expecting fireworks, but got a pep rally instead. I liked the patriotic part, but it didn't really make up for the disappointment.

I really wish we had gotten in Millie's line for a night ride instead. But that said, the park is beautiful at night when it is all lit up, and the rest of our trip was a blast. The "fireworks show" was really the only disappointment of our whole trip.

I agree that the only decent segment is the patriotic part. The rest is subpar.

When I become king of the world, this show will be history, the ugly screen and projection booth/bridge will be torn down, and a nice pyro display from the beach behind the giant wheel will be the farewell to all the tired guests.

Funny, I don't care for the patriotic part in particular.

What can I say, once you've seen Illuminations, all other shows blow.

Illuminations is the standard bearer...but I'm partial to Fantasmic! too. Of course, as "daddy" I get a kick out of the little one's reacting to the arrival of the characters.

Fantasmic is quite the production. But perhaps that cost is one of the reasons why it's getting cut (to 2 nights) as opposed to Wishes or Illuminations. Granted there are probably a number of reasons.

After seeing them all, Illuminations is my favorite. None of the Disney shows, though, are bad by any stretch.

I wasn't expecting a Disney level of show, but I expected more actual "in the sky" fireworks.

Disney is bigger, has a bigger budget and thus puts on a grander show. But we were at CP for the coaster superlatives so it was no biggie.

The show this year is better than last year in my opinion, but they can really get rid of the endless, very similar footage of the football teams. That part goes WAY too long, and is very repetative and boring.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Yeah I kind of liked the show, there were a few times where everything slowed down and I kind of got lost, but the biggest problems I have with it are:

1. When the firewater goes in front of the screen and blanks out the screen.
2. The football teams take way too long, they could cut down to 5 to 10 sec each team and really only do Ohio and Mich
3. The part in the middle that the temp changes like 4 times in the same song, it throws me off every time
4. The patriotic secion is too long, they could end the sho after God Bless the USA and be great, I just really hate the rendition of God Bless America they use both there and at the opeing of the park (its the same one)

But really for what it is it is not a bad show, but I know previous years have had more fireworks and I really liked the lasers.
