Finally!!

I live in Oklahoma and love coasters.. FINALLY, I will be coming to Cedar Point! Any pointers for the "first timer"??
break your foot ;) read my thread about that if you want, its a few threads down

if you havent picked when to go yet, try to go in may or at the end august. When you get there, if you get there before opening, go to the breakers entrance

many other people will prob tell you a bunch of other things

You can get a lot more done in a two-day visit than you could with a single day. Especially if in addition to rides, you want to see some top notch shows and maybe visit Soak City for part of the day
Yea and if you can spare the money, get a room on the annexation part of the Breakers. You are a short walk from the Magnum entrance, and a little ways from the WT entrance. The room could also serve as a nice resting area, and then a day at Soak City. I know from experience.

If you're coming all the way from OK, I would guess you're taking more that a day or two of vacation. If this is the case, and you are basing your vacation around Cedar Point, i'd buy a pass on the first day. Then, I'd concentrate on rides, the first day. The second day, pick up any rides you couldn't get to, the first day, and start hitting shows. Take another day to check out all the shops & such. Then finish that day off with some more rides. After three days, you'll be dog tired. But, you'll have saved $32.85 on addmission, and you won't be in a rush to check it all out. That's more than enough to cover your parking for the thre days. I hate being in a rush! Unless, I'm in line for a coaster. I'm glad I bought the passes for my family. I live close enough that if I want to just ride one coaster, I can criuse on in, pop a ride, and leave. Cool, huh?

We are staying June 2 - 6 at Breakers Express. We are buying season passes and our vacation is being mostly spent at the park. We got the package deal at the hotel to get 4 free passes, starlight tickets and the parking pass (not to mention free breakfast). I hope it's not too far and is fairly nice. It can't be that bad since it opened in 2000. Plus, compared to the "on point" hotels, we couldn't compare to the price. Hopefully we won't run into these 4 hour lines you guys talk about at the coasters!!!!!!
You'll have a great time Robin. I'm flying up from Texas in just over a week to spend 3 (or 4) days at The Point. Dougster's advice sounds very good to me. Don't try to cram everything in in a day, you'll have plenty of time there for everything.
By time you get here, the rides will be going full capacity. Dragster should also have its 6th train and 5th cars on by time you come too, so my guess is the longest line you'll stand in might be 3 hours. It's kind of common sense, but if you don't mind staying out late, you should try to save riding Dragster (no doubt the longest line) until just a bit before closing, as you can stay in the line well past the park's closing time and can ride the other rides before this.

Richard, what'd you do?

Will it be worth it to go 30 minutes early with the passes we get from Hotel Breakers or should we rest a little longer in the mornings?
I was told by the guests last year that they were able to ride MF 3 times in that extra half an hour, so I think it's a pretty good deal. Maybe do that on one of the days and just relax the other?
