Final Weekend of 2002

well this weekend is the last weekend of the season. :( . Besides that one spinny ride with the lady on top of it being removed, is there anything else that people like to do on the last weekend? lets hear some traditions.

I take one final lap around the park, stopping at Gemini for my last ride of the season.

As for closing night, in '99 and '01, I was on the last (GP) season flight of Raptor. In '00 I was on the last employee/season flight. For '02 I plan again to be on last GP season flight :)

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that? :)

I'll be going on the "spinny ride with the lady on top of it " a few times this weekend. Man, I liked that ride.

My only tradition is just to be there and put Cedar Point to bed, then I wake her up next year about May. "Last employee/season flight" on Raptor would be a neat tradition to have every year (if possible).

Next year Halloween is on a Friday. There's been talk of the last weekend being Oct 31, Nov 1, and Nov 2. I don't know if they'll do it or not, but I'm sure there's more than a few F/T staff who would vote against it.

I haven't posted here in a long time, but I'll be there tomorrow. My friend Avalanche Sam convinced me to go; this'll be my 4th time here this year. I should definitely get a season pass for next year.

Wicked Twister -- Back Row -- Last Train of the Day

It is very disappointing that the season is over tommorow, and it still feels like it's just beginning. As for closing day, last ride has to be MF front seat, although I'm kicking around the idea of being among Schwabinchin's last riders. After leaving, find a nice spot in the corner of the parking lot to see the skyline, and listen to "The End" by the Doors.
