Well, I just had a thought. With Coasters already in place at the tip of the Main Midway and Johnny Rockets being added, could Cedar Point possibly try to theme the Midway to a cohesive fifties style look? I seems that all of the other current eateries and rides could easily have some small cosmetic changes that would help them blend into the look. And although, the fountains are currently cancelled, we do know that there is other work being done to redo the Main Midway.
I know that Cedar Point isn't big on theming, but there is the nicely done Frontier Trail and Frontier Town. Plus, Camp Snoopy is nicely themed and it sounds like Lighthouse Point will have some theming aspects.
This is just an idea, but I think that it would be nice if the Main Midway of Cedar Point had a fifties look which blended into a newly themed Boardwalk area (in the rumored area). The rides wouldn't have to be changed or even themed, but it would give a cohesive look to the Midways and leave only an unthemed Gemini Midway. This could make sense, since the two fifties style restaraunts are not all that far away from each other.
Maybe this is a two or more year project that is taking place to "change the look of CP."

Considering the midway was *built* in the 50s, it should already have that theme. ;)
Well, the games areas already look VERY 50's, so the thought isn't unreasonable that they would re-theme other areas of the Main Midway...but with Cedar Point, you never can tell...
