I'm finally going to Cedar Point this year. :) Last time I went was little over a year ago- when MF was down forever and I was unable to ride that so my main objective is to right that this time.
1. last time we used the MF entrence and was wondering if that is still a quicker and easier way to get into the park (last time it didn't really work because we saw the dreaded "MF will be closed today" sign and our hearts sank)
2. I haven't been to the park since Maverick opened but how does that affect the crowds when it first opens? From what I remember- most people normally go to TTD or MF right when the park opens. but I think remember reading that TTD doesn't have ERT it early so going there and waiting an hour would kind of suck. So do people now go to MF and Maverick or do they also go to TTD and wait?
3. I know you can't predict crowds and all that kind of stuff but what are the normal waiting times for MF, TTD and Maverick?
4. We are still deciding if we are going to get a MAXX Pass because we will be going to KI a few days after Cedar Point, and we live about an hour away from Valleyfair. We are staying at Breakers Express and I was wonder what the discount tickets they sell are? and the ones at Meier? They also have a deal online only right now where you can buy 4 One Day Tickets to CP for $32.50 each. Is this cheaper than other deals?
5. This might be the decider on whether I get a MAXX Pass or not- I read online that if you buy a Valleyfair season pass you can get into Halloween Haunt (their version of Halloweekends) using that pass but didn't see anything about if the MAXX Passes work then. I went last year to the Halloween Haunt and LOVED it. It was the best time I've ever had at an Amusement Park, becides the time I went to CP in October a few years ago- but it is so far away that it would almost impossible to go with School and everything. So- does the MAXX Pass work at Halloween Haunt at Valleyfair?
6. How long does it normally take to get a MAXX Pass at Cedar Point? I would probably get it the night before we go. And Can you use it right after you get it?
Me and my dad will going to Breakers Express (July 31st-Aug 2)
Thanks for any responses and see you guys at the Point. *** Edited 7/26/2007 6:48:10 PM UTC by DrunkinMonkey***

1) Yes, the gate near Wildcat is your best bet for getting to MF early, but there will still be Joe Cool early entrance riders there before the general public.
2) Some people go to MF and TTD still, but a lot of people run to Maverick now.
3) Depends what day. Weekdays, MF and TTD are about 1 hr 15 minutes and Maverick about 2 hrs. Weekends... not fun.
4) Not sure.
5) If a regular season pass to VF works, then a MAXX Pass should...
6) You can get it right when you purchase it. It only takes about 10-15 minutes with paperwork. And yes, you can use it right away.
Have fun!

1) yes that entrance is a good call.
2)the ert in the morning is a good time to ride maverick for sure. the line tends to be about and hour and a half throughout the day. If you get there early enough you should have time for a maverick ride and a few laps on millie.
3) millie tends to stay at about an hour still on the busy days, maverick about 1-1/2, ttd has been pretty short so far this year when I've been there, about 1/2 hr is the most I've seen it at.
4&5) not sure
6)this time of year about 10 mins. and you can walk in the park right then and there.
1. Yes, the Marina Gate is your best option for getting to Millennium Force. Use the Soak City/Resort/Magnum Gate for quick access to Maverick.
2. The bulk of the crowd tends to head to Maverick, and after riding return to Millennium Force. Raptor is usually hit by guests entering through the main gate.
3. Millennium has had a pretty consistent 1 hour wait the last couple of weeks, with an hour and a half to two hour waits on very busy days. Maverick is pretty consistently an hour and a half to two hours.
4. The tickets at the hotel front desks, from what I've been told, are $32. The 4-pack online deal offers tickets are $32.50 a piece, and the discount tickets sold at Meijers and Discount Drug Marts are a little bit more than those, although I don't recall the exact price.
If you'll only be visiting each park for one day, it'll likely be cheaper just to purchase discount tickets for each park. Four total visits could go either way, and with 5 total visits, between all 3 parks, I'd say you're best option will probably wind up being the Maxx Pass.
5. I can't find anything on their website that says your pass would not be valid during their Halloween Haunt, and I personally have no reason to believe it wouldn't be valid.
6. This time of the season, easily 10 to 15 minutes, and they can be used immediately.

Of course the Halloween Haunt at Valleyfair is cool; they sent everything there from Geauga Lake when they should have left it alone. IMO, HH puts Halloweekends to shame.
You're lucky to be so close to it!
If all of your questions aren't getting answered here, I am sure their website can be of help.
Sweet. Thanks for the answers guys.
The only reason I was worried about the Halloween Haunt thing working with season passes was last year when I went to Halloween Haunt- they didn't have any of the scanners open. They just have you a ticket (like the kind at the movie theatre) and you handed it to the guy or girl at the entrance and they gave you one half and the other half went in a bucket type thing. But this year it says you can use the season pass to Halloween Haunt.
I will be going to Cedar Point 2 Days for sure. And Maybe a night or evening depending on if I get a MAXX pass. Last year on 4th of July we got to the park and looked around (without entering because we didn't have a season pass) and saw MF running fine and I begged my parents to let me buy a season pass so I could go in and ride MF and Raptor before the fireworks started. They said I could wait till tomorrow- who knew that tomorrow would be a year later **KNOCK ON WOOD** haha, because when we got the entrance the next morning we saw the sign saying that it will be closed. And was closed for about half a month or something like that.
So this time I have my fingers crossed.

As far as I know, Knott's is the only Cedar Fair park with special ticketing that excludes their season pass holders during their Halloween event.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Adding on to the list of discount tickets...
Meijer's single Funday tickets are $35. That is a total of $6.95 off of regular admission. These are purchased at Meijer (and I believe they give you an actual ticket).
Certain Burger Kings and Little Caesars (and possibly other restaurants as well) have discount coupons available. They are for $8 off of a single Funday ticket. That brings the price down to $33.95.
