Ferris Wheel Chicken :)

When my kids were young, I must of been to Cedar Point a dozen times or more.
This was around 25 to 30 years ago. One of my favorite foods was the
chicken they cooked over by the giant Ferris wheel. They had about 6-8
large charcoal grills that they would cook that chicken on spraying it
with white vinegar. Delicious. I was wondering if anyone knows exactly
What the recipe was for this kind of chicken. I tried it once and it
didn't turn out like at the point. Any info would be appreciated!

Its still there, but a bit further away. You need to go under Valravn, through the exit over to the Marina. Get in line for the Jet Express ride, make sure you choose South Bass Island. Get off the boat, walk through to downtown, and take a right on Delaware Street. It will be right next to the big round red building.

Sit tight fellas ;)

^ Give me the grilled wings over on Kelleys Island at The Caddy Shack any day and I'm a happy guy.

I enjoy the Perch dinner at The Village Pump on Kelleys. I will have to give the grilled wings a shot, thanks for the recommendation!

I thought this thread would be about someone who was too afraid to ride Giant Wheel.

Ha Ha. I guess no one remembers that chicken, oh well.

I do! Between the grills and the train the air was always hazy at that end of Frontier Trail.

I'm not sure about specific recipes though.

"Thank the Phoenicians!"

It probably involves a combination of 11 herbs and spices.

One thing you can be sure of - it definitely wasn’t hand breaded back then.

I also remember it. The area always smelled great, but I never ordered the chicken. Actually, I was always a bit confused because I would see a lot of chicken on the grills, but no line or even a sign showing the price, the sides (if any), etc. I thought maybe they were making it to sell somewhere else in the park. They probably did have a sign of some sort, but I was never interested enough to look into it, as I only visited once a year and I had my routine when it came to my food choices.

I remember it too. It smelled good, and was just OK. It was inconsistent, and often dry.
