ferris wheel

Hey- what about the ferris wheel. I have ridden S:UE and for those of you who don't know, it is LOUD on the launches, not to mention the screaming.  Wouldn't this ruin the peaceful, romantic, ride/view provided by the ferris wheel, which seemms awfully close yto the new attraction?

-Not that im bashing WT, (that back spiral will be sweet) im just stating a point.

I know SUE is very noisy, and I dont really like all the noise. What I like is when you look to the lake on GW, you will see that WT goes right around it, so the view is still great. Either way, it brings more attention to the DT area.

Giant Wheel peaceful? You mean, besides the buzzing kiddie rides, Schwabinchen music, Disaster Transport roar, Raptor roar and Demon Drop screams?

Uhh... why'd you have to go and post a thing like that for, Jeff?  All those sounds are SO distinct... and you know EXACTLY where it's coming from in the park when you hear it..

Right after I move to Texas you gotta go and remind me of that.... (sigh)  This is gonna be the longest off-season ever... don't know if I'll be able to make in in May

Hmm.. thinking about that.. how cool would it be to have Windows themed entirely to Cedar Point sounds, to go along with the MF wallpaper I have up now...  If you captured all those sounds and used them...  Demon Drop's 1 second fall & scream sound for minimizing a window... Magnum's clank-clank of the lift hill when you're standing right below it for maximizing a window...

 

Jeez... I'm thinkin' about this way too much...

Windows XP is available now. Windows CP is scheduled for release October 2002. :)

You know, isn't it possible to program your own sound effects? I seem to recall my hubby using three stooges sounds on his PC at one time. I've got MF on both my PC's...one at work and one at home.

Anyway, I think I'll be riding the ferris wheel more often now...just to watch WT in action. And I think the placement is perfect. The wusses can ride the ferris wheel while their other family members ride WT

Making your own sound effects is easy (Control Panel -> Sounds.) I think I would use the buzzing kiddie rides for program errors :)
