"3..2...1...RECHECK HARNESSES...Please go back to your numbered station, We are experincing mechanical promblems with the Wicked Twister. It will take about 10 minutes to 10 years till we get it fixed. if you whould like to leave thge ride platform, please talk to the closest Ride Attendent. Thank-You and enjoy the rest of your day here at Cedar Point Americas Rockin' Roller Coast!"
I was wondering about the size restriction. My brother-in-law could not get the seat belt fastened on MF. So he couldn't ride. Do you think it is comparable to WT ???
Wicked Twister seems to have the smallest harnesses in the entire park. There is not a lot of shoulder room, or if they happen to be very tall. It depends on the size of the shoulders and stomach area and if they happen to be short or tall, but for the guests convience there is a test seat located outside of the ride right next to the entrance.

Thanks for the info... He is 6'4" and 320 LBS. I was told by him that he was going on a diet. Again..., He still wasn't able to fit in the test seat for MF Last year.
With MF, you have to be carefull. The belts on the train are actualy smaller than on the test seat.

I fit on MF, but barily. I'm losing some weight over the winter so it's easier to get on it next year.

I simply won't fit on WT, I don't have a chance of ever riding it cause I'm 6'5" and built.

i don't know if anyone of you were there on this day but if you were you know what i'm talking about. i was in line for wt with my girlfriend watching the course of the ride. after coming down the back spike the first time we heard this loud banging noise when the train went into the station. they stopped the train out in the brakes and a employee ran out to the platform, grabbed something, and threw it off to the side near the exit. they restarted the ride and when the train came up the back spike i noticed some guys pant leg flapping. he lost his artificial leg in the first run. man, that was so funny. i'll never forget seeing that pant leg flapping in the air.

---------------------------------

Juppy, i was there, actually i think i might of been 5 or 6 people behind you. that was the funniest thing i probably have ever seen happen in history at cedar point of all time. he must have been so embarressed when that happened. it was still a kodak moment.

Was anyone there on 10/19 when it launched and then just before the first tower it just stopped. It was scary because I was in line for the front and didnt know it stopped and the one ride op leaped right out under the track. I thought the train was gonna shoot back through and hit him. Quite scary...

When a ride op. jumps over the gate, they know what they are doing. We can hear the ride go down. When you work on the ride for so long you get used to hearing the different noises. If someone was to get out while the ride was in motion there are Light curtains that will break and the ride will stop. Thats why it is so important for everything to be secure, b/c if anything flys through those Light curtains the ride shuts down and it is a big pain for the ride ops.

Whoa...that's really neat. So there are actually motion-detector-like things surrounding the part of the ride that's in the station?

yes there are...We would test them in the morning. We had to sent them off to make sure they were working! That was when we were aloud to break the Light Curtain...any other time we got wrote up for doing it. Those curtains sometimes go off for the littlest things and sometimes it goes off for the right things...One time a Butterfly set it off. Try calling us down...due to a Butterfly...lol that was great. Park Op. was like huh??? yes thats right a Butterfly. It set the light curtain off. it was so funny! :)

Ha ha that's awesome. So one of you would start the ride and then another would leap out under the track? That would be a funny sight...hehehe.

no no no.....we don't leap out in front of the train. We simply ran our arms infront of the Light Curtain. We would get fired if we jumped in front of the train....

Mine isn't really a quote, but a noise. When it broke down, I always loved the siren noise it made, sounded like one of those British police cars or something.
