Favorite non-ride activity at the park.

Wiyh so many rides I know there isn't much time to do anything else but other than rides what do you like to do? I always like to go through the Town Hall museum. I wish every park would keep track of their history as well as Cedar Point does. Also there is a scale model of white Water Landing so the ride lives on at least in this respect. But many of my non-ride attractions are gone such as Jungle Larry's, the cinema and Oceana and the aquarium. Why did they discontinue the diving show? When I worked up there last it was still drawing crowds.

I also stop at Town Hall every year. It doesnt seem like they ever add anything to it though. I wish they would. I would love to see a display of WWL to go with the scale model. Photos of it being built and destroyed, maybe one of the boats. Not to mention more stuff about the parks more recent history (60s, 70s, and 80s). Not just the stuff from 100yrs ago.

Other than that, I enjoy the shops along Frontier Trail. Not that they are attractions per say, but they are always fun to browse and make for good scenery.

Stuff that could be included in Town Hall Museum is a memory of Jungle Larry's, the fact that Corkscrew, Gemini, et al, were all landmark rides in their day, reference to the aquarium, old rides like Jumbo Jet, the sky ride to Frontier Trail should be available. I could go on, but you know what I mean.

The Town Hall Museum curator probably has the best CP job available.

Next to the museum, the best CP non-ride activity is no doubt eating. What is better - cheese on a stick, elephant ears or fudge? decisons decisions.

I just recently starting to walk along the beach. It is nice and quiet, not to mention A LOT FASTER to get from Wicked Twister to Magnum.

Keep walking! the stroll from the Resorts/Magnum gate along the beach to Sandcastle Suites is great, best either early in the morning or at sunset. A side stop at the Camper Village store for a 6 pack is generally recommended.

One of my favorite things use to be standing on the walkway in the back of the park and watch SRF splash down a few times. It's became more crowded this year with Maverick right there now too. Last year I would always go back behind the round wooden building and watch the constuction site. It's really fun to tell people who visit the park that I've watched them pour footers and put up supports for Maverick in person!

Hildebrandt and Kinzel both frequent the museum, and there are usually "plans" to add more to the museum, but it usually gets pushed to the side for more "important" improvements.

My two favorite activities other than rides are watching the show in the Red Garter (the live band is what stands out to me) and taking pictures. I usually stop in the museum every time I'm at the park, and I also like to look through the shops on the Trail.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

There used to be a "cool" water spray near the tunnel at the resort gate.....I miss that on hot days

when i hit soak city, i like to find a bench close to adventure cove, lay down and listen to magnum, george, myron and judy k. it is quite relaxing and makes for a nice day.

i live at the saint pia zadora golden buckeye retirement community

perhaps not a real favourite, but the arcade is always a luring attraction, once you get all those tickets and realize what you get for them, you have to wonder why you bothered, the arcade is also a great stop during bad weather.

There's a place in the park I would go sometimes, where there wouldn't be any people. It's by the petting farm area, but it is back under MF second hill.
I really did get bored with riding roller coasters all summer, but I never got bored with watching them, and just walking around the park. That was what I liked doing better, toward the end of the season anyway, just walking around and not riding anything. Also, I saw the ice skating show for the first time this summer and I liked that too!

Much, much cheaper than getting 6 at Beaches & Cream.

Last time I was at CP I ended up buying 4 of the $6.25 beers ($25).... Does anyone know how much the 6 pack costs at Camper Villiage?

$6.25 should get you a 6 pack at the CV store. Not exactly sure about the exact price, but this is one of the better deals to be had on the peninsula

Mmmmmm. College girls. :)

Let's Get Weird.

College girls are scared to ride coasters, at least the ones I see all the time, they only come to the park to show off their stuff if ya know what I mean. Most of them are self-centered and and have brains the size of peanuts, and I have no idea why they go to college in the first place to get education, or lack of. So why are all you crazies so into them when you supposedly see them in the park when you do not realize that they are total airheads?????

Its not about brains. And most of the time we (or I dont anyways) dont really talk to them we just stare. We dont know them so who cares?
