Fastlane Plus availability/sell out

Hello all. I'm an infrequent poster but frequent reader. I'm making my yearly trip to the park from St. Louis this upcoming weekend, and the good weather forecast and recent crowds have me a little worried. I was already planning on Fastlane Plus for Saturday, and probably Friday. But Fastlane Plus is already 179 bucks online for Saturday.

My concern is whether or not Fastlane could sell out before I even get the chance to buy it in the park. As a Platinum passholder, obviously I was going to get Fastlanes in the park to get the discount, but I would hate for it to sell out online. Can that even happen? My intention was to do the hour of early entry on Saturday and then buy Fastlane Plus. Does someone with firsthand experience know if there is a quantity set aside for in park guests? Or if there is enough demand online at the price they want to charge, is it possible that they sell them all beforehand?

I would just hate to drive from St. Louis and not be able to buy Fastlane Plus early in the day on Saturday. Thanks greatly for any insight or advice you guys might have here.

I doubt they will sell out in advance, especially at 179. After early entry just go to most any gift shop, I usually get mine in the Steel Vengeance store.
But why don’t you just buy yours in advance on line? Or, where are you staying Friday night? If you’re at a CP hotel you can buy one there, too.

I wouldn’t waste my money buying one for Friday night. Fridays are never really busy. This past Friday was an exception with the amount of schools and some businesses being closed due to the holiday weekend.

^^ I have Platinum pass and was under the impression there was still the Fastlane Plus for the price of regular Fastlane when purchased in park. If, that's not the case, the point is moot and i'll just prepurchase online. I am staying at Lighthouse Point, and if I can get the discount there, especially on friday when we arrive, I'd gladly do it that way.

^ Yeah, Friday will be more of a game time decision so to speak, depending on the lines obviously. I definitely won't want to wait in the lines on Saturday obviously, but if I can turn a 45 minute wait on SV, Maverick, or Valravn into a 10 minute wait on Friday, it would still be worth it to me.

"45 minute wait on SV", Ha. Sunday morning towards the end of early entry, SV was 3 hours and fastlane was over a 1/2 hr.

Or a 3 hour line into a 45 minute line, that is also worth it....sounds like you get what I'm saying. Obviously ride time choice is vital...rode 5 times in the last hour on Saturday 10/27 last year with FLP. Point is the value is probably going to be there for me on Friday, and definitely on Saturday.

It's still a thing that a Platinum Pass holder gets a free upgrade to FL + when you purchase FL in the park, so I would wait until you are in the park to purchase it. I cannot fathom FL + becoming sold out online, ever.

If I were you (and I'm not), I would opt for Fright Lane on Friday, and then the Fast Lane Plus on Saturday. Or, if money is no object, get FL + and Fright Lane for both days. If the weather is good, the place is going to be busy, and if you are into haunts the Fright Lane can make a big difference, especially with you coming from so far away.

Are you staying in a cottage or a cabin? The cottages at Lighthouse Point are our favorite way to stay on property. Have a great time!

Thanks! We are staying in a cottage. I've never done anything other than the cottage at Lighthouse Point and can't imagine the other offerings being better except maybe if I had a camper or RV. I havent stayed at breakers for a very long time, and have done Sandcastle more recently and Lighthouse the last few seasons, and I agree...I love staying in the cottages!

I'm not particularly interested in the haunts, but like the atmosphere and weather and everything late in the season... so I probably won't do many if any of the actual haunts, but will likely do FLP both Friday and Saturday. Was just hoping for some definite reassurance that I wouldnt run into an issue by purchasing in the park Saturday morning. I was hoping for some definite confirmation of a certain number of FLP available in park.

I don't think any of us would have a clue as to a definite number, but I cannot recall a time where FL + was ever sold out upon arrival.

Talk to the guys/gals at the desk at Lighthouse Point when you check in.

Can you get the Fast Lane Plus upgrade at the resort desks? And if so, can you get them in advance?

ROUNDABOUND.

^That would be ideal, but it sounds like that probably isn't the case. I'll find out for sure and update if noone knows before then.

Your best bet would be to call the CP resort number and ask.
