What do you think about Freeway for the new ride in the first year? Will they use Freeway? Personally i think not.

Sorry that i called it fast pass before. it was a late night for me and i wasnt thinking.

Do you mean Freeway? Are you trying to say the name of Disney's copyrighted virtual queuing system FASTPASS?

I see no reason not to expect Freeway on S:TR. In fact, I'm willing to bet it will be used on S:TR.

Since you are being a butt-nugget instead of simply answering Steve's question, let me take a moment to correct *you* on something as well. Disney's so-called "Fastpass" *system* is protected by a patent. The name *FASTPASS* is protected as a trademark. But in no way is this system "copyrighted". I suggest a visit to the Patent and Trademark website ( www.uspto.gov ) and the Library of Congress coypright pages ( www.loc.gov ) to read up on the differences.

I'm not a big fan of having a Freeway or Fastpass system on a ride in its first year. People will be heading to #16 (not S:TR) in droves and all of those Freeways will be given out for the whole day before the first hour of operation is over.

Freeway, as I understand it, is a replica of Fastpass without the technology.

freeways dont start being distributed till 11(10 on sat later in the season when it is open longer) so that even if you dont get there right away you still can get one.

LOOK DOSE THIS LOOK THE SAME OR WHAT

I SEE A SPIKE COMING TO #16

Huh?
So that's why they call you Hostyl (like hostile, right?)! But anyway, thanks for the heads up about the name FASTPASS. I was wrong, it is trademarked, not copyrighted. But either way FASTPASS can only legally exist at Disney parks.

And I did answer his question. I stated that I saw no reason that #16 wouldn't have a Freeway queue.

Hey That Coaster Looks The Same In A Way .
Different manufacturers.. different layouts.

If it was going to be a spike, you would have seen track put on the one side of the tower that has none.

There could very easily be a spike. This is an idea that jdubya has proposed many times. The table top piece has yet to go up. I believe what jdubya suggested was that another support may come up off the top of the tower, such as the spike you see in that pic. The crown of the top hat would then be connected to this support.

So it is definitely possible that this will have a spike. It won't be used for the same purpose as the one seen in the pic, but the tower may very well look similar to it. I recall seeing this picture in a thread some time ago. But yes, the tower may look like what is seen in the pic, only massively larger.

Peace I'm Out

that ride on that picture is S&S, or so I believe.
That picture is of Speed in Las Vegas. It was built by Premier Rides.
