Heading to cedar point second week in June wed 6/10 and Thursday 6/10 to try and avoid large crowds. Question.... Do you think a fast pass or fast pass+ is needed mid week in June?
The longest line will reach an hour long. I would suggest starting at the back of the park and then work towards the front. Gatekeeper and Raptor have been walk ons at 3:30 before on multiple occasions.
SV ruins all other rides.
Lines shouldn't be very long during weekdays. I think you should be good without it.

Yea been studying the map. My ride order.... Mil force, Maverick, mean streak, magnum xl, top thrill, wicked twister, and gatekeeper. Then circle back around hit raptor, blue streak, iron dragon, rogarou, couple water rides, cedar creek mine ride, pipe scream, Gemini, corkscrew, power tower.... That's the plan for day 1. Day 2 will be trying to ride the ones we like from day 1. I think we will get the fast pass+ The first day to maximize rides.
Thanks
If you're buying FP+ and CAN'T do EVERYTHING in the park, including non-coasters, then you've done something terribly wrong.
On the days that I go and buy FP, I'm usually deciding what I want to do AGAIN, rather than in what order I should do things.
Also, CP has some really great non-coaster rides, so while you're doing your tour, don't forget to hit up things like SkyHawk and MaxAir and Troika.
I'd wait until the day of to choose if you want to get it or not. Based on my past experiences, June is usually fairly light crowds and since you're going during the week, I don't think you'll really need it. Everything should be less than an hour wait, probably about an average of 15 minute waits. There's lots of other things you could spend that money on.

Maxair scares me. I don't do well on rides that spin around. Lol probably try it at least once though.
Thanks to everyone for the advice
Just make sure your stomach is empty when you do. I rode it and a kid next to me lost it. I was lucky as I was to his left, his friends to the right , not so much.
Fast Pass probably won't do you much good at Cedar Point... You'll never make it from Sandusky to Orlando in time for your 3pm reservation on Space Mountain. Fast LANE, on the other hand, is awesome and worth every penny when the park is crowded!
Don't take this post too seriously, just yanking your chain! 😜
ROUNDABOUND.
Also, I can't remember for sure, but Mean Streak may not open until 11 am. But you'll be able to ride it late in the day with no wait time. I second waiting until the day to decide on Fast Lane. If the weather is poor, the crowds will be very light, along with the rides that will actually be open. You should have no problem buying on the day that you go, even if it's semi-busy for that time of the year.
Lol I fast lane! Thank you. I think we will get it one of the days. Staying off site to save some money to put towards the pass. We may never be back so want to experience cedar point the best we can.
You can ride Mean Streak at just about any time of the day with no wait.

With very few exceptions (e.g. rain-cleared days), buying fast lane will always allow you to ride more rides, more often, and wait less in the lines. Even if it's 5 minutes you save, 12 rides = 1 extra hour. Is getting that hour back worth it to you for the cost? That's up to you. The point is, even on "slow" days, it serves a purpose.
On the smaller rides it can be even more amplified. Using it on 1 Cadillac Cars, 1 lake Erie Eagles and 1 Giant Wheel will save you about an hour right there, even on a slow day.

I second this. Ever since they launched Fast Lane a few seasons back, I've gotten Fast Lane or Fast Lane Plus [when it became available I believe in season two] and have been nothing but satisfied with it. I've been on days where it was heavily crowded in late June or early August where lines for Raptor reach an hour or more at 3pm, and lines for Maverick approached 2 hours or more. I've also been there on days where the same rides posted 15min and 30min as wait times. Regardless if I save 1.5 hours or 10 minutes, I'm still satisfied with it. All of that saved time adds up over the course of your day, and I will utilize Fast Lane Plus every year when I go just to maximize my time spent riding rides.
If you are travelling a very long way and aren't likely to return any time soon and your goal is to ride as many rides as possible in that limited amount of time, it is worth it regardless of what the crowd level is on any given day. There may be a rare occasion where even Maverick walks right into the station without it, but those are few and far between especially during the 'summer' months.
Plus you can also walk slow and enjoy the scenery, stop to take a break or etc. without worrying about losing time compared to waiting in the regular line if that's your thing. I'll be there June 2nd and 3rd and will have Fast Lane Plus both days and although that week should be light on crowds, I'll be more than happy knowing that I was able to ride x more rides as opposed to waiting x more minutes for one ride.
Either way, enjoy the park regardless of what you do decide to do, as others have said, many of their flats are good as well. My personal favorite flat there is Skyhawk. Just remember; a day at Cedar Point is better than a day at work.
Last year when we went to Kings Island during the week I was torn between just buying the Fast Lane ahead of time, or waiting to see what the crowds at the park were like. I decided to wait and see... we arrived early in the morning and even though wait times were only 15-20 minutes I saw people with Fast Lane cruising right by us... Around 11:30 the Line for Banshee was 30-40 Minutes so I bought the Fast Lane + at that time and my wife and I took turns walking onto Banshee while the other took the kids to different rides.
Bottom line from my experience - I should have just bought them right from the beginning as even with low crowds at KI we were able to enjoy the time rather than waiting in lines. If you might not be back to Cedar Point for a while and can part with the cost of the passes, I would recommend getting them... to me, they are well worth it.
I really enjoy Lake Erie Eagles, but the line goes soooooo slow.

There are several rides in the back of the park (Mean Streak and Cedar Creek Mine Ride) doesn't open until 11:00. These two rides can be skipped, honestly. I would recommend riding Cedar Downs at least once. There's never a wait for it, and there is only two of them in the country.
Don't you DARE skip riding Mean Streak.
Though they've braked it into a shadow of its former self, it's still a marvel of wooden track.
If you stay at Breakers Express just off Point owned by cedar point, we get a room for $72 to $80 a night, but the best part you can get into CP an hour early at 9am !! And the big coasters are open Gatekeeper, Raptor, Rougarou, millennium, and Maverick are all open!! Before the general public! So that might save you by not buying a fastpass you are there for 2 days!!! Book online and type in PASS (I'm a season pass holder under promotions and save!!) don't get fastpass til
RollerCoasters and Rock Concerts! Life in the fast Lane!!
I would highly recommend Fast Lane Plus even if it is not that crowded. I had it at Canada's Wonderland last year on a somewhat slow day and it was great. Every ride was a walk on as opposed to maybe 30 min waits without it. Really made the day enjoyable!
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
