Fast Lane System at SF:WOA

Do you think Cedar Fair will keep using the Fast Lane system that SF:WOA had?
I hope not, I hated it.

I would love to see the FreeWay implemented. Do other CF parks do this?
If I'm not mistaken, the Q-Bot is property of Six Flags. But, depending on how Cedar Fair views the success of Freeway, we may see this program implemented at Geauga Lake.

I'm sure Q-Bot will sell to any park that wants to use it.

That said, I don't think we'll ever see anything other than Freeway, which is exactly how it should be.

What time does the water show start?

Then again will it even be necessary if CF manages to get rides running at near capacity like they seem to in a lot of other places?

I was talking with a person that worked at SF's before and I guess the Q-Bots are outsourced. They didn't know if it was a SF only thing, but from what they said they didn't think it was. With that being said it depends on how much the upkeep on those things are, and how long the lines are, but I highly doubt that CF would implement them... they were uber expensive (I may be wrong but I think it was $40 - 60), and like said if they can get the bigger rides running to par with all the correct #'s of trains, they'd not be worth using... I'd be very surprised, however, if they'd use these little electronic annoyances. I guess they have other uses too. For example if you're near a show that's soon to start they go off and tell you what it is and where it's at. Also if your kids have them they have a GPS gismo in them and it tells parents where their children are at if lost. Good idea, yes, but bad bad bad price and kind of pointless in a place that won't have that many shows. I'm sure there'll be some but with all the animals gone...

All I have to say is good riddence to some of the animals being taken away. I'm pretty sure it was the penguin one, but that building stunk to high heck. I'm sorry but if you can't keep the smell of dead and rotting fish out of an area completely separate and supposedly air tight, you have problems... way to go SF :)

I already said, the Q-Bot system is manufactured and sold by a third party.

Freeway, which is exactly how it should be

Having used fastpass at Disney parks, I'd *much* prefer something like that. I believe Universal parks are doing something similar. Freeway is cool, but washing off the Big Black Stamps before going to work the next day is a bit of a hassle. :)

Freeway is low tech, and it works OK. Agreed that the Disney and Universal systems are better, but you'll never get that at CP or GL as long as you're getting cash register receipts for "tickets."

True--it would require a massive ticketing/admissions overhaul, which is unlikely to happen given CF's commitment to all things technological.
Freeway works just fine, and seems perfect for a park like GLP. Really there would only be a need for the busiest of days on a few of the rides at this point in time... that is if CF can get the rides up to capacity.
