^To my knowledge the $14 footlong comes with condiments. Doesn't seem so bad when you think about it.
It is bad when you can go to any other Subway in the US and get many footlongs for $5 out the door.
I can see them doubling a price in-park, but why go more than that?
I don't get why more parks don't believe in lower prices and higher volumes versus higher prices lower volumes. Nobody expects cheap prices at any park, but why have to avoid insanely high prices either?

Reason: captive audience. The price they charge hits a sweet spot between the convenience of not bringing your own food with you and drumming up pure outrage from the average consumer. I'm sure the price they pay to CP for having a franchise in the park is much higher than say the location at Walmart. They also have to make a year's worth of profits in about 4-5 months.

$10 more ($75) on the Fast Lane should be about right IMO! Not sure if it will get there though. Its Still a steal with unlimited riding!
No, it should be $150 a person so that less people purchase these passes.

I was just there yesterday, and it was $120 for 2 people. The price increase happened on July 4 (not surprised by the timing of this at all).
We still bought it, even though we go to the park 10 or more times during the season. It won't be something we purchase every time we go, but it was nice to have and not have to wait in the long lines throughout the day.
We were in line in front of a family of 4 who had Fast Lane, were staying at Breakers, had just bought Season Passes for each member, and who where going back to the park the next day and were going to purchase Fast Lane again. There were lots of others who bought it too, so obviously it hasn't priced itself too high yet.
It would only be silly to charge that rate if people were unwilling to pay it. :)
I suspect prices in May 2013 will closely resemble prices of mid-summer 2012, and the rate will be adjusted if sales of FL are "too low".
They already know attendance trends, so once they close in on the market value of FL, they can then work on raising and/or lowering the price based on attendance/demand.

I came to Cedar Point a month ago and after the first day being such long waits, especially for a weekday we decided to buy the Fast Lanes. Still was 100% worth it. Ended up being $40 a piece for 4 of us. Managed to ride Millennium Force 24 times.

The Fast Lane price did not increase on July 4th. I bought mine on July 5th and it was still the old price. I checked for at least two days after that and it was the same. I first noticed the increase on July 10 but it could have been a day or two sooner. I would guess that it changed over the weekend sometime.
