Farm stands/farmers markets

Does anyone know any farm stands or farmer's markets anywhere near the Point? We're staying in the cabins for several nights this week, and thought it would be nice to have some fresh produce to much while we were there.

My favorite is Mulvins on Perkins Ave. Take a left onto Cleveland Rd/Rt. 6 from Cedar Point Drive. Turn right at the 2nd light onto Remington. Follow Remington all the way to the end where it runs into Perkins Ave. Take a left onto Perkins Ave. Mulvins is about 1/4 mile ahead on your right. It'll take a just a few minutes to get there.

It's not in season yet, but they have the best sweet corn in the area.

Bergman's orchard, in Port Clinton near East Harbor State Park. Sorry I can't be more specific than that, but I'm sure they're in the phone book. I've only been there a few times, but they have a vast selection and I highly recommend them!

If you're coming from the Turnpike, there is a place just north of the Rte. 4 exit. It's on the right side of 4 and called Strawberry Hill or something to that effect. Their stuff is usually pretty good.
For the recrod, we never made it off point for the entire four days we were there. Big surprise. :) We did bring some fruit/veggies with us, so it wasn't an entirely deep-fried trip.

We did notice the Strawberry Hill place, as we take the Rt 4/turnpike route when we go. We'll likely stop there in the future on our way in, since it is convenient.

I love the stands in season! The sweet corn is the best!!!

Gezz, if you guys want the BEST produce, you need to drive to the east side of Cleveland, and find the Heinen's in Twinsburg, look for the produce manager there, you might recognize him!

I'll vouch for Bergman's as well after growing up eating their corn every summer.

They have stands on OH-53 and OH-269, just north of OH-2 for both. Although a 25-30 minute drive east of Cedar Point, it's worth a stop for anyone coming in from that direction.
