Is Famous Dave's located inside the park or outside the park? I heard one opened last year but I didn't see it inside the park.
It's outside of the park in the same place that used to be called the "boathouse."
To get to it, you go out the marina entrance next to Snoopy rocks on ice. Go straight out and Famous Daves is straight ahead.
Thanks guys. It's in walking distance then? Never been to the boathouse but it sounds easy enough to find.
It's definitely within walking distance. It's right near where Blue Streak is. It's my favorite restaurant anywhere, not just at CP, so I definitely recommend going there.
Point Xtreme
How do the prices compare to Famous Dave's in other places? Does it cost more at Cedar Point than other places?
Like everything else on Point, it cost more...but, not too much more.

There's a link for a PDF version of the carry-out menu (with prices) on the Famous Dave page at cedarpoint.com.
I've only ate at Famous Dave's twice. Good food, but the prices are high. CP has to make money somehow.

Last season when you went to famous dave's, if you took the ticket you got when you paid for parking, they would give you a discount on your bill equal to the price of parking. So a meal is actually pretty cheap if you do this. On the back side of the parking ticket, they list about 3 or 4 places that you can eat and get this discount (but you can only use it once of course).
Famous Dave's is pretty good. For CP park food selection, it's pretty high on the list of good quality for a decent price. Sure the prices are going to be higher there than at a local suburbia Famous Dave's, that's the way it always works, definitely worth trying out, even just grabbing a quick beer at the bar, you can't beat the atmosphere.
The Amazement Park
The bar at Famous Dave's is very cool. Lots of pictures, postcards and artifacts placed under the polyurathane from CP's past.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
LOL I just looked and of course Famous Dave's isn't open in May.
I tried Johnny Rockets last year and wasn't overly impressed with what I got for the money so I thought I'd try somewhere new this year.
I'm assuming that Coasters will cost about as much as Johnny's? That's fine as long as the food is better.
Any other places in and/or within walking distance of the park I should consider?
