I was at Cedar Point today standing in line for Raptor when I noticed a mother cat and her baby kitten climbing on the first two footers of Raptors lift. I found this ver strage but after watching them play a bit I realized... there must be a father there too. So my guestion is. Is there a family of cats under Raptors station or did Pet Check have a break out?

Probably. After CoasterMania I was walking through the Blue Streak/Calypso midway (I was the only one around) and I saw a black cat sitting in the midway.

And your POINT is...
Actually.. there are alot of cats at CP.. There is the group at Raptor.. There is one under Gemini.. family near Bluestreak another set near DT.. a set a Meanstreak..
They have basically learned to stay in hiding during daylight hours. I have been walkign the park in the whee hours of the morning only to have one come jumping out from the bushes..
Ask Sabrina about the one under Gemini and how it jumped out at her when she went there int he middle of the night to check her schedule... hehehehe
There are alot of them. During the winter some of the locals tend to leave food out for them.

There are a few cats that live on point. I know that a few lived back by Mean Streak last year, don't know if they are still there or not. As far as cats living near Raptor, there is a good possibility that they are in that area. But they don't stay there, or anywhere for that matter, for long because once maintenance finds out where they live they come and capture them and take them to the animal shelter in Sandusky.

I'll bet the rabbits that live under Raptor and the Mine Ride make some good hunting too. Not necessarily a nice thought, but the food chain goes on whether you like it or not.

I know of some people who were staying at Camper Village and there cat got out of the camper. Maybe one of those is it.
That is very amusing to me. I have never seen cats at the PO!NT!

Hmmm...cats over by Raptor...now all we need is a Chinese Restaurant in that area.
I saw a cat by Raptor today! On the lift hill, there is a catwalk-thing under the track. The thing has C-shaped support rails on either side that go at a slight angle until they hit the ground. The cat was sleeping IN the support..

Oh, so there is a family of cats by the Wildcat Elroy? Wow... How ironic. :)

The cats are all over the place. The one by the Gemini is a big orange Tabby. I can see why is stays so fat with all those birds to feed on. Scared the hell out of me the other week. (RGR told the story already) Last year there was a family in the back Employee break area that the employees named, fed, and basically kept as a mascot.

Gemini Crew 2001. I loved the Gem100!!
ahhh, so you must be the mysterious employee that accompanied him on his photo-op venture...
Just wanted to say, I was at the Point Tuesday the 24th, saw 4 cats from the Raptor station, directly under the lift hill. It was pretty cool, too bad I cant live on the Raptor haha!
There used to be a lot of cats that lived near the hotel. Used to have foxes out in camper village too. In fact, I wonder where the wild turkeys went. They used to scare the $h1T out of me!
On the next episode of Cedar Point: The Nocturnal Midway...will the cats eat the sea gulls for relieving themselves on Raptor? Will the sea gulls get into a fightr with the wild turkeys? Will the fox try to eat the turkeys? The suspense is unbearable!
