Falling Over?

Ok, I know this is a weird question and I apologize, but today some of my friends were talking about CP so naturally I jumped in, and they were talking about how something ( I dont know exactly what) fell over on WT while they were building it. I disagreed but I was wondering if anyone knew if something did fall over during construction? Thank you

I believe the story goes that the "new" ride at Cedar Point fell over. At the time, the newest ride was Vertigo, which did fall over January 2002. Wicked Twister was being built at the time and I believe a news crew incorrectly said that it was Twister instead of Vertigo.

"Is it raining nickels?"

Hmm, sounds like another case of bad media coverage. Anyway, the title of this thread is very midleading. It sounds about on par with Magnum sinking.

They were most likely referring to VERTIGO, which tipped last season.

your bad indeed, lpth5. VertiGo was an S&S Power ride, a pay per ride type of deal that was once located in Challenge Park. you got your choice of being shot up and brought back down in an upright position, shot up, flipped face first at the top, and brought back down, or shot up, flipped face first in mid shot, and remained that way for the course of the ride. this was a very sad loss (i only got in one ride!), and now what stands at the VertiGo spot is a few picnic tables. no memorial, no tombstone, just a few picnic tables. it was a good $10 spent for my one ride.
