Gemini is my favorite coaster and since Excalibur at Valleyfair! is the only other coaster like it I was wondering if anyone has ridden it. The pics on rcdb show a nice drop followed by some strange looking convoluted pieces of track, you can't really see the exact layout.

I rode Excalibur in 2002 and I personally loved it. I rode in the backseat a few times and I was surprised how powerful that ride is. There are trim brakes on the first drop and they are very much needed. Basically it's a lift, drop then the high turn kind of like Millennium Force but without the overbanking. Then it's a small figure-8 that hops over itself, a tight turn out of it and slam into a stop at the brakes.
It's a neat ride!

I think it is cool to hear from people who like the ride. It was my favorite ride when it was first built, and I was alot younger. Now it seems I have back and neck pain every time I ride it. I live in Minneapolis so I get to Valleyfair all the time. The funny thing is, the ride is never busy. It might be because of the location.
I hope CF has some great future plans for our park. The Renegade is GREAT. I hope they will put more rides in that area of the park. Or even another coaster would be nice.
I just got back from my first trip to Valleyfair! and I too was impressed by Excalibur. I only wish it was a bit longer.
There is a great little element halfway through with a nice pop of airtime followed by a turn. I wish I would have given it a few more rides so I could explain it better, but it was great fun.

Valleyfair! is my home park, and I love Excalibur. It was my favorite coaster in the park until Renegade was built. And this year they tweaked it alittle bit so it isn't anywhere near as jerky and doesn't hurt. The helix after the first hill is sweet and the air hill after that is amazing!!!!
I could take it or leave it. It's a rare instance of Arrow starting to break out of its stock configuration, but it still isn't anything to get that excited about.

What I like the most about this rides is that it has a nice surprise element near the end and that it sounds like Magnum when it goes up the lift =P
I wish it wasn't so short though, i was just starting to like it then the brake run appeared.
