I am no math wiz, so I will use the "new math" to run some numbers. I think they call it Common Core.
Family of 4, this year got Platinum Passes for all to utilize early entry, cost approx. $800.00.
Trips to CP: myself & 9 year old 94 each. Wife and 16 year old 85 each. Lets go with 90 x 4 = 360
800\360 = $2.22
We choose CP as an enjoyable place for walking & exercise. Off season we walk in Metroparks for the mileage. We drive 30 minutes each way, I did not spend a cent at the food stands, souvenier shops, games of chance. Only a few $2.00 Twix candy bars at the machines. We eat before arriving, bring in beverages, eat after. We are usually at the park 3 hours or so. The walking paid great dividends, my wife lost close to 30 lbs. during the season, I went from 198 to 189 (all muscle of course). We did not take long vacations this year so we chose the $800.00 investment.
We love CP!

Well, being in the Marina all summer I have more park admissions then most of you. Running the numbers though, using the full Platinum Pass price as if I paid for the pass, my cost would round out to $3 per admission.
Can you explain this to a person of ignorance? Does using the marina grant access to the park in a similar fashion as a platinum pass? Or am I just reading too much between the lines of this statement.
Thanks!
Renting a boat dock for the summer includes two free Marina Platinum Passes. They work just like normal Platinum Passes with the addition of parking access to the Marina lot and 10% off boating equipment at the Marina Store.
So, boaters who choose to dock their boat at the Cedar Point Marina get free use of all of the Cedar Fair parks.

Pete, how long have you been docking at CP now? A friend of mine has had his boat at Castaway Bay for the last couple summers and loves it. He's been trying to talk me into buying a boat and joining the party!
It's been awhile, maybe 8 years or so. If you have the opportunity to buy a boat, go for it!

That marina spot isn't cheap though I'd imagine, I've heard some figures, all sound bad, but nothing ever verified.

Prices are competitive with other first class marinas, you can find places for less however. I find CP Marina to be a good value. Other places don't provide two free Platinum Passes with your dock and can't offer the entire CP resort in your backyard the way CP Marina can.

Right next to you on 14.
