Event this Sunday?

A guy I work with that didn't know I was into Cedar Point was in the break room at work today. he was bragging about how he and his family get in the park early and get to ride everything before the park opens to the GP.  He said that his father was a stock holder and thats how they got in.

Any clue to whats going on?

I remember back in high school having a couple of people tell me something similar. I guess one of the kids at my school was bragging about having ridden Force a bunch of times before media day because his dad was one of the largest shareholders of Cedar Fair stock. I always wondered how much truth there was to his story.

As someone who owned 1,875 shares at one time (worth about $37,500 at the time), I can assure you that's crap. Being an investor doesn't mean crap unless you sit on the board.

As a current shareholder (who bought more today with the dividend increase and yield at 9%) I can say Jeff is correct, there are no in park benefits to being a shareholder.  Although one year I ran into Kinzel and we talked a bit and he sent a fruit basket to my room at the Breakers.
