ERT Platinum pass question

I have a quick question and did do a quick search to see if it's been asked already.

My fiancee & I have platinum passes and will be going to the park with her mom & 2 sisters over Memorial Day weekend. Does this mean that only Jen & I will get in early as we're the only platinum pass holders or will our whole party get in early?

I imagine it'll just be the pass holders, but just thought I'd ask in case someone else knows more info.

Only the pass holders, UNLESS you are staying at one of the CP resorts. Then everyone could get in.

You don't need to quote the post right above you. We know what you are responding to.

Glad I could help.

They really should include some sort of vouchers to allow a Platinum Pass holder to bring a guest in early. My thought is to include a book of 6 to 8 early-entry vouchers to the purchase of each Platinum Pass.

In my opinion, the platinum pass really loses its value (with the exception of free parking) when you bring a non-pass holder with you because you can not utilize the ERT.

I guarentee that allowing a guest to experience ERT would increase season pass sales (maybe not necessarily during that year but the following year for sure), concession and merchandise sales. Not to mention creating a more pleasurable experience which will most likely result in additional visits.

Why do they call it common sense, when it's so infrequently used?

How is the Platinum Pass not already an incredible value? Just because it doesn't do everything you want it to?

I'm not saying that it isn't an icredible value. I was simply stating that when you bring a guest who is in essence bringing additional income to the park, it loses some of its value.

I'd say it would be the other way around. If they let every Platinum pass holder bring in a guest for early entry, that would diminish the value of the early entry perk, because there are that many more people in the lines for the early rides.

I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask the person working the gate. I used to let some people through in certain cases, say where both parents have a season pass (former joe cool) but the child does not, then I would let the child go in. But in your case I would say no, they wouldn't be able to get in early.

Mark - I see your point. While it may increase the line slightly, the use of the vouchers would be spread out over the course of the entire season. That's why I'm saying just give a limited amount of vouchers per pass.

I can't speak for you but my fiance and I are the only people we know who have passes. Therefore, whenever we want to go with anyone else we lose out on the Platinum Pass perk. I see this as an additional perk for Platinum Pass holders.

Perhaps they should throw in free food, a personal concierge service, complimentary electric wheelchairs, VIP access to all rides and free souvenirs.

Park in the Soak City lot. 99% of the time I go into the Magnum entrance before the 10am scheduled park opening, they never card you for anything so you can go in early. This has happened to me many times last year. Most of the times I was a resort memeber, and I showed them my Resort ID card, and they said it was not needed. I was thinking to myself, its 9:15 in the morning and no need for the resort pass? I think they need to pay more attention and not just let everyone in, its not fair to those who have paid extra for ERT.

2 years ago, my sister wasn't allowed in. She had a CP pass w/o JCC, and my friend had a MiAdv pass. They forgot the resort ID. My friend was allowed in, but my sister was not.

That's really bad advice. I've seen more people get stopped than anything.

This year, the Platinum Pass will look different than the standard Cedar Point pass, so I don't think you'll be so lucky.
