Elvira!?

So, I sat and waited for 45 minutes on the concrete to see Elvira..... During this time I had the pleasure of explaning who she is and what she does to my 9yoa son.

Wow, whatver CP paid for her "appearance" was to much. Although it may be part of her act, she seemed uninformed, maybe condesending, and possibly rude. Maybe it was just me....

I can't say that it was the best 3 minute act I've ever seen.

Gotta go through Undertaker U again, that was quite fun!

I was remarkably unimpressed as well with what I saw of her. She just isn't very cool any more (not sure if she ever was). Maybe it's the hair, as it generally looks like the people we make fun of in the queues.

She has been huge on the left coast for years. She has been doing that Knotts Scary Farm gig long before CF aquired that park. She probably thought the exact opposite; that people were not giving her the respect that she thought that she deserved. She doesn't have near the following here that she does there.

It was bad enough when she came out late, but what cinched it for me that she's pus is when she said, "it's really nice to be here at Cedars Point".

I couldn't hear her or any CP representatives. I stood on the side. It was the only place I could see her. The speakers were faced forward so I couldn't hear a thing!

What, exactly, does she do? Fascimiles of her appear at numerous halloween events and I was never really able to grasp the attraction. Does she do anything besides just 'be there'?

She used to host a tv show airing bad movies.

She has since become a "cult" icon for anything to do with Halloween. With her witchy look and her cleavage being displayed to all, she has found a following of fans. Me not included.

She doesn't play very well to a Midwest audience because people in the Midwest take their kitsch very seriously. In California it's more hip to be ironic. Basically her "fans" are making fun of her, and they assume she's making fun of herself.
