I wouldn't say that no great ride needs improving, however. We're all more or less in agreement that Cedar Point is a great park (we probably wouldn't be here otherwise), but I'm sure we all have our ideas of how to improve the park, the queues, the line systems, the prices, the resorts... The list goes on. I don't think this is a pointless topic, because Dargon has some great ideas of how the effects could indeed be upgraded from what they were 11 years ago.
No, Disaster can't be operated in the dark because of the block cameras -- that's why the house lights were on for so long, because the "Alaska" lights burned out. That's the only way the crew can tell if there's about to be a setup, by the spacing of the shuttles and if they're pausing in the brakes or not. Other coasters, for the most park, can look out from the platform -- doesn't really work in a dark ride.

You need to clarify your first paragraph more...it has too much anger in it. I'm not sure what you are getting at with MF. I don't see the comparison. Then you said it would smooth things over if I stated it was just my opinion...I did state that.
Dargon: You're supporting DT and then you state that Avalanche Run was boring? It's the same ride with a roof and bad effects. Maybe it's a little better now, but it's not like it went from a bad ride to a Class-A ride because they put a roof on it. But, again, that's my opinion.
Look, I love Mantis. I think it's a top ten roller coaster (USA). But I constantly read complaints against the coaster on Coasterbuzz, and sometimes this site. I don't care!!!! Point is, I would never change the ride despite some critcism.
Hey, I'm glad you like DT, but if you love it so much, then why change it, other than general maintenance or necessary repairs?

Dargon: I agree completely. I wish MF was longer. I wish Iron Dragon was taller and had more extreme banked turns. I can think of a ton of things I would change (or at least wish for). Bottom line is CP is the best amusement park in the world and we want it to stay that way. Peace?
If we rode it in complete darkness a few times, then with all of the proposed effects by Dargon, we'd see what would make the ride the best it can be.
Personally, I like the ride, I want to see improvements. Anything will do. :)

But, if they were to keep DT (which they are), then I would really want them to either really highly upgrade the current theme, or just start over with a brand new theme and make it incredible (theming wise and probably ride wise since the great theming). If they were to drop the current theme of DT, then I would want them to probably change it to (this was said before) an egyptian theme. You could be going through an egyptian temple and all of the sudden alot of "stuff" starts to happen, like Pillars toppling over right over you, fire spraying, mummys raising from tombs. Mainly just a big destruction of an ancient egyptian temple as you go through it. At the brake run, i dont even know what to do, you figure that one out.
