Hey Ya'll i was just wondering what the easiest route would be to get to Cedar Point from Columbus, Ohio? I just got my license and am getting a season pass this year, and my parents always go 270 to 23 to 4 to 2, so i was just wondering if there is an easier route. Thanks Ya'll for your help!

Faster to take 71N to 80W to Route 2W, exit at Rye Beach Road, take the Chausee up to the park.

Are you kidding? I-71 to I-80? That is way to long and not necessary at all. Here are your much faster options:
Take I-71 to Mansfield, then take Route 13 north to Route 250. Then take that right into Sandusky.
OR:
Take I-71 to Ashland, then get on Route 250 there. (A little longer then the Mansfield route).
Local Live.com says to take Route 23 North to Route 4 North. But Route 23 coming out of Columbus can get very busy. I hate that stretch of road. So option one is probably the best. That is the route I always take when traveling from Sandusky to Columbus. It’s the fastest and easiest route that I have found so far. A lot faster then taking I-71 to I-80, that is just wrong. Just look at a map, that is all it takes.

How bout a little something called mapquest? or yahoo maps, or google maps, they all work. Then again, that may be too much work for you folks down in Columbus...

Those sources are great, but they aren't always the most reliable. mapquest helped me get to Sandusky from Dayton but once in Sandusky the directions started telling me to turn the opposite direction of where I should have gone. So I was on my own once I was in Sandusky.

That is why you get a real map and skip the internet (which is not easy for some of you to do).
I've driven the 23 --> 4 route.. It wasn't so bad. There's no need to get off on 2 like they said though. Just take 4 all the way in and follow the signs!
Going up 23 is usually the best route, even though it can get a bit busy during rush hour. However, instead of taking US-23 all the way to OH-4, one can go north on OH-98 at Waldo to shave off a few more miles. OH-98 intersects with OH-4 in Bucyrus. Brian's right...just take 4 into town and follow the signs to the Causeway. Happy Driving!

99er, i agree with you on that I-71, 13, 250 route. I had a friend of mine who lived right off 13 (Fredrictown, I recall). That's the way we went to his house from CP.
The exit off of I-71 is 153 (or around there). Just take the one marked "Fredricktown-Mt. Vernon" or take the exit for the Mid-Ohio Sportcar Course.

I make the drive at least 5 times a year from Zanesville. I am 50 miles east of Columbus. I agree with 99er. I take 586 to Mt Vernon, then 13 to 250 in Fitchville and straight in. I can be in the parking lot in 2 hrs 20 min or 122 miles. If you try to go any other way it is going out of your way. The mapquest way takes another 45 min to an hour.
