Early Ride Time

I'll be at Cedar Point from Aug 21 - 23. I'm very excited since it will be my 2nd trip to the park, the first was when Mean Streak opened.

A fellow poster on my home board (CWMania) suggested that I am able to get checked in at the Marina entrance for ERT w/out having to go to the Guest Services Desk at all. By doing this, I'd avoid the lines at the main entrance. He's done it a couple times, but I got the impression from him that they may not always allow this to be done...can I safely use this entrance???

Any other suggestions for the park??

You shouldn't have a problem at the marina gate. You might consider the Soak City/Resort entrance in the back. You can park in the Soak City lot, and this is the closest entrance to Maverick for early entry.

First, one very important question:

Are you either a Joe Cool Club Season Passholder (doubtful since you apparently are talking about signing in with another CF pass) and/or staying at a CP resort during your stay?

If the answer to that question is no then there is no guarantees, although supposedly other CF SPs have gotten the Joe Cool treatment in the past, but then again Ive been days where they just let everyone in.

Ok now that thats out of the way, yes you can go to the Marina entrance, or any for that matter and they will have a clipboard to sign you in. If you do get into ERT, be sure to be there at opening and do:

1. Maverick
2. MF
3. Wait in line for TTD to open up

That way you will have conqured 3 of the big 4 (Raptor being the other one) with minimal waits. Also, if you get to Maverick and its down and no trains are running, turn right around and go to MF, because Maverick will not likely open much before ten and one ride on Maverick with little "real" wait<<<<two rides (MF and TTD) with a short wait time.

The magnum gate doesnt check if your a hotel guest,they just let anyone go, and i had my early entry card to,at least when i was there in june,maybe it has changed since then,Not very fair to people who stay on the grounds,it didnt make me very happy.

Thanks for the info. Yes, I'm a Maxx Pass holder from Wonderland. I emailed Cedar Point to inquire about ERT after getting several different answers on my board. They said my Seasons Pass was all I needed to get in.
