Early New Year's Greeting

I'm not sure when I will be able to be at the computer today, and all the NCB bigwhigs will be at work tonight I probably won't have much Internet time so I just wanted to wish everyone a happy and safe new year and MAY THE FORCE BE WITH US ALL IN THE NEW YEAR AND BEYOND!

If you've been watching ABC's coverage as the clocks roll-over across the world (half of the populated world is already there), it's interesting to see that even in less developed countries, the power stayed on and ATM's still dispensed money.

Here in the states, it's also odd that few people know how most of the nation's power companies rolled their clocks over as a test several months ago and, gasp, nothing happened.

Anyway, the millennium doesn't start for another year. CP fans' millennium starts in 133 days.

Media: The world will end on 01-01-2000.

Computer People: The media takes a small issue and blows it completely out of proportion.

Now this morning when the world turns over the clocks and nothing happens the media sounds disappointed, but they keep saying as the day goes on, there are STILL several places for things to go wrong, like they want something to go wrong.

Well, guess what media.... NA NA NA NA YOU ARE WRONG!!! (At least so far).

Of course I am not bashing Jeff who is a media guy, but at least he is informed!

The media is informed too, Dave (no offense taken). However, the media addresses what is of interest to the public. Responsible media is not doing anything but helping us celebrate tonight.

Is it me or is Dick Clark finally starting to look his age?

I wish I had taped all the big city celebrations around the world today. Hopefully, they will have a VHS tape for sale about all the celebrations. So far Sydney, and Paris had the best fireworks shows. The Great Millennium Wheel (huge farris wheel) in London looks to be a white elephant. It didn't pass safty inspection. Should have built it at CP. Happy New Year everyone!

London had the best fireworks. The London Eye (Millennium Wheel) was just raised upright about 6 weeks ago. Then they had protesters climb to the top of it. Protesting about cutting down the rain forests. Only one cabin failed safety insepection. What would your reaction be if it was a really bad winter and MF was finished on May 10. Then they had to test it and inspect it with in 3 days. I say that only having one minor problem with the London Eye is pretty good. Now lets get back on topic.
Greetings from Vegas all!! The celebration here is just spataticular!! Hope you all have a great New Year's Eve Celebration!! Got my bottle of Asti in my hand now!! Cheers to you all!!

The consumption of alcohol has begun here in Brunswick, Ohio, and I doubt I'll be making any more appearances tonight. The co-ed naked Twister, "funny" jello and extreme lawn bowling in my living room is underway! The server you're viewing is in mountain time, so if it disappears at 2 a.m. ET, you'll know why. I doubt there will be any problem, so I'll see you on the other side!

A coaster without a train or a track. You just fly with the little jetpack they give you at the entrance, which, by the way, is now located where Columbus used to be. It is now there because the park is now so popular, they had to expand, and expand, and expand. Oh, by the way there are 392 coasters, the highest topping out at just over 22,350 feet. It starts in Youngstown and ends near Detroit. You reach speeds of 1,500 mph and are put on a respirator for about a half hour after the ride is over.

Thank you for riding the Raptor and enjoy your day here at Cedar Point, America's Rockin' Rollercoast!

Wouldn't it be great if there were 392 coasters at the Point?!
Yes, I know 22 thousand feet is in space, or near it, so just relax, okay? Don't start screamin' at me!

OK its 52 minutes to the end. I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year, and I hope that everyone has no Y2K problems. So far so good *lol*

Jeff, I know that the media is informed but it just seems like they WANT something to happen.
