Early Morning

This summer I believe my family is planning on going to Cedar Point, staying at Hotel Breakers. The resort guests get in 30 minutes earlier. If I woke up very earlier to be one of the first people outside the gates(Magnum entrance), and made a mad dash for TTD(Not to brag but I am a really fast runner;)), would I have a chance not to wait an extremely long time?
Of course. The Magnum entrance is the closest park enterance to TTD, so it very reasonable to assume you would be one of the first in line for TTD.
The magnum entrance is probably around 300 meters from the Dragster entrance, and with getting in 30 minutes early, you have a good shot at getting the first ride of the day. Just don't pull a muscle while making your dash!

I would say there is a good chance, but its weird how no matter how early you get in, theres still always people in before you!! =P
You really dont even have to get there super early. Just be at the gate a few minutes before your going to get let in. Unless of course your going to be there during the weekend you might want to get there a tad earlier.

If you make a mad dash with the group of people at that entrance you should wait very long regardless.

When you're entering the parking lot and want to park by the Magnum entrance, do you just ignore the folks directing cars? Or do you tell the toll booth person that it's your destination? I've never parked there and was a little curious about this.

TTD is right by the Magnum entrance. You'll one of the first ones there.

It depends. Obviously they want people to park in the main lot, unless of course they're staying at one of the resorts, or just going to Soak City. But, they won't stop you if you want to park in the back.

Yeah. Just put your left blinker on ;) They'll get the hint
Another thing to keep in mind is that there are/will be a lot of resort guests and other folks that know about the Magnum gate. The other day there was quite an impressive line and to think it's this early in the season.

If your goning to run...stretch out first! It would suck to pull a muscle runnning there, so stretch, and of course, pace yourself. Most people will burn out really fast because hey will sprint at first, but 300m is a little ways, so be careful. And yes, I'm being completely serious.

Well I went Tuesday night (5-13) stayed at Hotel Breakers to get in early. We were the first ones in line Wednesday morning at 8:30 am. To my disapointment, Dragster was not open, but we would have been one of the first ones in line if it was. They were filming for two days straight.

I probably saw you if you were at the magnum gate.. I was the kid with the Red Wings coat and the Wings hat.....
I went yesterday, and got in early for the resort guest stuff, which the gates were opened at 9:00. I got in line for the Magnum gate at about 8:15 and then ran as soon as we got in. We were one of the first ten or twelve trains for the GP (NAPHA had ERT for Saturday) and still had to wait approx. 1 hr. 30 minutes. If it wouldn't have had two 10 - 15 minute breakdowns and had consistant intervals we would have been out in less than 45 minutes.

Yeah, so just be sure to run and if you cut through that little garden to get to the entrance, don't let the security guards see you.

Don't cut through the garden please - that is lame.

How many people can get in the ERT, me and four friends are staying at Breakers Express but we are meeting another there that morning, will he still be able to get in with us even though he was not a guest but the other 5 are. Also what are the temperatures at the Point in Late May, We are going next weekend and I want to dress accordingly, Thanks!
Your resort card will have the number of people in your party written on it when you check in. That's how many people get in for Resorts/JCC early entry.

It's not war, famine, or pestilence; it's only downtime.

We stayed at Breakers Express and they did not write how many guests were staying on our ERT card.

We got in at 9 a.m. with JCC members yesterday, we arrived at the main gates RIGHt before they played the star spangled banner. We were probably 30th in our line, if that. We got in and power walked to TTD. We were looking at a 45 minute wait, but right as we got to the gate and were next in line to ride, the ride shut down for about 45 minutes. So we ended up really waiting an hour and a half. However, like I said, if the ride didn't break down at all, we would have only had a 45 minute wait. :)

Its funny in the morning to sit at the Magnum entrance and watch everyone blow past it on their way to Dragster. Especially when I know its closed for the morning. You would think they would come over to maggie, but no they have to run over to millie.
