Hi- Im going to be heading to the park on Thursday morning and am contemplating staying at the Breakers. Can I park at the hotel the morning of my reservation AND utilize the eary entry despite not yet being checked in? ( I imagine we wouldnt be able to check in until 4pm).
Also, does anyone know what the "twin section" of the hotel is? Can anyone recommend the best part of the hotel to stay in? Im hearing some bad things about certain parts of the hotel.
Thanks!
I do not believe you can utilize the early entry, You have to show the employees at the gate either your room key or a voucher you get from the front desk.

yes you can i did last year you just go into the breakers lobby and tell them you are staying there tonight and you want a pass for early park entry and theyll take care of you the entrance by magnum is a short walk away.
Actually I do know the answer to this question. You have to have your reservation number to show to the guard at the gate to park at breakers the morning you arrive. From then, You are allowed to not formally check in, but pre-register the day of your reservation as early as 8am. You can then get your early entrance card eventhough you cant formally check in until 4pm. So yes you can. :)
R.I.P. MrScott... You're greatly missed!!
Well, to get early entry, you must have a special pass that you recieve upon check in. You might want to get there a little early to see if they will let you get in early (aka give you the pass). I have done this before, and it worked.
PS: If I were you, I'd stay at Breakers Express......much cheaper rates, 2 min. from the park, and you get early entry!
HAVE FUN!!
You can check in early (even if your room is not ready) and then use the early entry to the park. It specifically says this on Cedar Point's website.
We did this last summer at LHP. We checked in around 8:30am and then went into the park at 9:00. You can obviously use early entry on the day you check out too.
Edited for quote:
Resort guests may pre-register to receive their resort card for early entrance to Cedar Point. Pre-registration begins at 8:30AM Sunday-Friday and at 8AM on Saturdays. Guests may pre-register early the day of their stay and also be eligible for early entrance the day they check out (i.e., a one-night stay includes two early entrances—check-in day and check-out day.) Early entrance does not apply to permanent dockholders, however, overnight boaters are eligible for early entrance. Great, thanks for the info...I didnt see that on the site.
Does anyone know the difference between the "main section" and "twin section" of the hotel, as listed on their reservation screen?

I always stay at Breakers Express and have my resort/early entry card in hand, but it's been my experience that the workers at the gate rarely check it anyway.
Does anyone know what the early entry cards look like for 2009? Are they the same as previous seasons where you could show a resort guest key or the white card of paper they give you at the hotel desk with the dates you are visiting or have they changed this for 2009?
278 coasters and still counting!
I saw one on the ground a couple of weeks ago and it looked the same as in years past. The card I saw was the paper print off with the arrival and departure date and says Cedar Point Resorts on the top corner.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

You don't need your reservation number, all you have to do is tell them your name and they'll look you up on their clipboard to see if you're on their list or not. I've done this the last 3 years in a row, I never bring any kind of paper registration with me. I tell them my name at thegate, and tell them my name at the front desk and that's always been good enough.
You get to ride early eventhough you have not checked in yet. Just go to the front desk at Breakers and get the white paper strip that shows your name and room number. You don't need your key.
Then head on over to Maverick and do it 5 to 6 times between 9 and 10 ;)
Sorry, can't remember the answer.... Does Platinum pass holders get into Soak City an hour early or is it just Cedar Point
