Early Entry for Funday Ticket?

Last Tuesday a group of us went to the park for a day and noticed something interesting when we bought our tickets at the challenge park gate. Printed in large letters at the top of the ticket it said something along the lines of this ticket good for early admission 9:00AM - 10:00AM. I was under the impression that early admission was supposed to be only for Platinum Pass holders and resort guests. Have they been advertising this change? Is this on tickets bought at all the entrance gates?

I haven't heard anything about funday tickets giving early admission to guests. If that is so that is bull crap. That should only be for Platinum Passholders.

Actually I did get a picture of it. I'll try to upload it tomorrow evening. I agree though. It is crap that general public guests get early entry when they bill it as a special perk for resort guests and platinum pass holders. (I have a pass but everyone else in the group had to buy tickets)

Yeah, I don't know why they would do that.

If I remember correctly, at Coastermania QnA. Someone asked Bill Spehn a question about the Sunday of opening weekend (It was really rainy in the morning... but they were still running rides).

They asked: "Why did normal ticket holders get in from 9-10? I thought this was only PP holders."

Bill's reply was something along the lines of... the attendance was going to be low that day, so I made the call to let those people in early, so they were able to run rides that require full trains. Otherwise they would not have been able to run. And therefore you would not have been able to ride.

That is the only reason I can think of why they would do this.
