I've heard several people recommend this entrance for a good sequence on the early entry rides. I'm looking at the map and trying to figure out where we'll be entering. Could anyone clarify where exactly I need to park and where we'll enter? Is the entrance right under Magnum?
My girl and I fell in love at CP and we plan to do it again every year for the rest of our lives.
Yes, it is the entrance right by Magnum, where you pass through the underpass.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Yep, from the parking lot you'll walk past the go-karts and under Magnum, and just keep following the go-kart track until you get to the Challenge Park plaza -- the entrance gate is there.
Depending on what you want to ride. This would be a good gate for Maverick or Top Thrill. The marina gate is closest to Millennium Force. And now the new beach gate is right next to Windseeker. As far as parking goes, there is a lot right next to Gemini that you can walk to the resort gate (soak city gate). Early entry is only good for season passes and resort guests, though. Don't rush if you can't get in.

Heh! Thanks guys. Yeah, we are staying at Breakers Express and want to hit Maverick, then MF, then get in line for TTD for the general public opening as several have recommended in the past. So as far as actually getting to the soak city parking lot, do I just follow the causeway from Breakers express up and around the peninsula on perimeter road to that lot between soak city and gemini?

Use the left most toll booth and say that you are going to Soak City/Resorts. They should put a green paper on your dash or on your wiper and they should direct you left to Perimeter Rd. Just keep following that until you reach the parking lot to the left after you pass Camper Village. Try not and go too far to the Resort officer booth as you will have to turn around.

Alternatively, if the resort booth line is long (as is sometimes the case), you can use another booth, then signal that you'd like to go left once you reach the first lot traffic director person. They'll wave you left, then just hang a right on Perimeter Road and follow that around per the directions given by pointperson.

^ Yep, in fact that's what I do every time. I'd actually forgotten about the green paper thing.
If it helps, the place to turn left toward Camper Village is just after you drive around Mean Streak. It can come up quick if you're not expecting it. Otherwise, just past that on the right is the "Gemini lot," which is also public and sometimes a slightly shorter walk to the gate.
