Early Entry

In addition to considering FastPass, early entry is another Disney innovation that I'd love to see Cedar Point "borrow".

At Disney World, any guests staying on property have the opportunity to enter one of the parks an hour before the GP. Three days a week it's Magic Kingdom, twice a week it's Epcot, and twice a week it's MGM Studios.

As CP continues to add rooms, there eventually will come a time that capacity isn't always 100%. It will be at that time that extra perks will need to be considered for on-site guests (over and above close proximity to the park).

I know this doesn't sound like much of an idea for those of you who live close enough that CP is a day-trip, but for those of us coming in from 375.4 miles away, it's a nice thought. :)

I was thinking about this the other day. An early opening for those staying at a CP hotel would certainly be a benefit and possibly help increase the bookings at the hotels. Disney DOES have some good ideas. (even if their rides are mostly lame)
Hey, look what I found from a couple of years ago.  Thanks, CP!!

This was talked about by the park back in the mid-90's but the Operations people weren't keen on it.  At the time, there were not enough rooms on property to make it worth while.

Now with Breakers East, Radisson, Breakers, Sandcastle and Camper Village there are enough "on site" people to make it work out.  The Resort guests deserve this incentive.

Apparently from the C.P. Resorts newsletter I received a couple of weeks ago, it says: "A new perk for guests of the Cedar Point Resorts: you'll be allowed to enter the park one-half hour before it's opened to the general public to ride the new Wicked Twister and our giga-coaster, Millennium Force. (for your safety, rides may be unavailable because of weather or maintenance conditions.) An unbeatable opportunity to challenge our newest and most thrilling coasters without waiting in long lines, available only to Cedar Point Resorts guests!"

So the entire park isn't open, but the two rides with the longest lines will be. Now if they would just add the Raptor to the list, I might have to start staying overnight a little more often.

Does anyone think that the main reason for this is to cut down on the running of the bulls?
Running of the bulls will still exist, no doubt, just that there may be a preliminary running of the resort guests.

"How YOU Doin'?" ;)

The early opening for the resort guests is the same days as the early opening for Joe Cool.
