Early CoasterMania question

I've been to a few CoasterMania's in the past, but never stayed at a park hotel for one. This year we're staying at Sandcastle Suites.

So my question is, in the morning, do we have to go around to the front gate to get our buttons, or is the gate back by Magnum going to have them as well? Anybody know?

HAVE to go around to the front..The group sales booth is the only gate they service. But you'll get there earlier than when they let the cars in the gate..I got in as one the first 20 like the last few yrs because I satyed on Point..Remember the scene in field of dreams at the end of the cars streaming into the baseball field..Thats what it looks like watching the coastermania crowd come in from the ticket booths..

mf laps = 100! No More No Less!!
The hotel will provide a shuttle to the main gate, but I would recommend having the desk clerk call for one. We waited out front of Breakers for 20 minutes when I finally went in to have them call the shuttle driver to come pick us up.

Ok, thanks. Based on what I'd gathered from their page, that's what I expected, but I wanted to verify.

Too bad, it would be REALLY nice to slip in the back gate ;) Still, staying right on the point is worth it for things like this...

As an aside, you ALWAYS need to call for the resort shuttle when you need picked up. This is done from a call box or a hotel front desk. The shuttles do not run on a continuous cycle (unless things change this year) because the drivers also work as bellhops.

The shuttles do run pretty much continuosly on CoasterMania morning, but as CP Schroeder suggests, I'd check at the desk to make sure one is in route.

Also be ready to be crammed pretty tight in there...

Heh. "Crammed" and "CoasterMania" go pretty much hand-in-hand anyway... ;)

But it's a good kind of "crammed"...
Well, as long as you think "ERT" means "EXTENDED ride time" instead of "EXCLUSIVE" ride time, sure... ;)

(Of course, last year during the morning ERT seemingly everyone went back to MF. I took 8 laps on Raptor, THEN went back to MF and got a lap on that before the GP got in. Not a bad day in spite of the crowds.)

I rode MF Twice in the morning and hit the Raptor on my way out for something to eat. The crowd was pretty big I was bummed. The lunch is very good don't miss it.
What keeps me going back is the people. I've had some great conversations with some great people at CoasterMania.
