Early August?

Is early August a good time to visit the park? What will the temperature/crowds/wait times be like?

I would like to know this also if someone could give some information.

No one can really predict the future, but historically speaking weekends are extremely busy and weekdays are not much better. Still, I went with a friend from LA on a Saturday first or second weekend in August and we did every coaster by 7 p.m. The longest wait was 1:20 for Mantis.

Jeff is right early August is not a good time to go to the park. Predicting CP crowds is like predicting the weather. Last season I was at the park three times a week every week and personally I thought the first three weeks of August sucked. I spent most of my time around Magnum and for the most part it had a full queue. This past year really helped me get a feel for the crowds and what times & days are good and bad to go to the park. Personally I don't think that MF will have too much of an effect on the crowds this year because there is so much to do at the park that MF will suck another 1600 people off the midways every hour anyway. Like I tell everyone else go to the park May through early July and you won't have any problems hitting everything in half a day!

Have to agree with Dan-dont plan on any trips to CP early to mid August...last second vaca people getting it in then-plus all the pre-school opening again crowds...ugh
