I've been lurking for a couple of years now. Getting ready to make another pilgrimidge and in looking through the "Stay & Play" brochure it does not list TTD as an early admission ride.
Is this new? Last time I was there, about 3 years ago, it was included. Is this due to some of the problems the ride has when it's colder? Or is it part of the "Gemini Childrens Area"?
I searched but couldn't get any hits for anything, even TTD.
TTD is no longer an early entrance ride.
The early rides this year are Maverick, Skyhawk, GCA, Raptor, and Millennium Force.

The search function is broken.
TTD has been removed from the ERT for resort guests and Joe Cool members this year. But, you get ERT on Maverick.
Which, IMO is better. I'm looking forward to taking full advantage of the great line-up of early entrance rides this season.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
TTD wasn't part of early entrance last year either. The ride takes a long time to get warmed up and didn't open with the early entrance time.

So then Maverick is taking maXair's place in the early entrance line up, no?

^That's right. While I think Raptor is a good choice, it's odd that all the rides that open early are in the back half of the park and Raptor is all the way up front. It would seem smart to have all of the early entrance guest be all in one area instead of all over the park. Maybe Magnum or Mantis would make since, or even TTD.
Better yet, keep Raptor and just keep maXair and maybe Wicked Twister on the list as well. :)

If I can remember, TTD was on the ERT in 04' up to 05'. But its like that early in the morning, you could only get one ride in before the park open up. But yeah Maverick will be pretty sweet on the ERT.
Quote from a Corkscrew ride op, "And Dragster is down again"
I'm confident that with this line up, early riding will work well. If you come in the resort entrance, head to Skyhawk first (I've gone to Skyhawk at 10:30 am and walked on) and take a quick ride, then Maverick, then Millennium Force, then by that time the park should be open and you can get a walkon to Magnum, then see how Dragster is doing. That's my plan atleast.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

It was on the list 2003-2005, but like I said above, the ride had a difficult time to get going so early. Especially in 2003. *** Edited 4/11/2007 2:58:32 AM UTC by Gomez***

^^ The two times I tried to ERT on Skyhawk with resort guests it was broken. Hopefully this year its all fixed. :)
I slap myself everyday for not getting Joe Cool sooner (years wise). I've yet to have any kind of ERT on Dragster. I missed last years little ERT bonus, AND Boobuzz.....so I'm severally mad at myself. Needless to say I wont be burning lit cigarettes on my arm.:)
But yeah, Dragster just takes toooooo darn long to get up and running. They did get her opened really early on closing day. They were testing her before the park even opened around 8:30. Though it was still a while before she opened. Then began the whole 3 hour long loading issue due to the cold weather.....but I wont get started on that.:)

2001 (the first year they offered JCC) was still the best year in my opinion. Instead of doing early entry every day with resort guests, they had 9 (I think) days designated throughout the season for JCC ERT. Each day had one hour of ERT, and if I recall, the rides list included Magnum, MF, Mantis, Raptor, and PT. It was nice because everyone always went right for MF, so anything else was dead. My favorite day was a day that I hit Raptor twice, then went straight back to Magnum to find them running empty trains. I got in one, my friend got in the other, and we rode solo for 9 straight rides without getting off until the regular guests came in.
Anyhoo, the point of this isn't to brag, I'm just saying I had more fun with JCC back then. I'm really looking forward to this year though, with a great ride lineup and a full hour of ERT. I'm only going to have 3 weeks this summer where I can make trips to the park, so I'm going to try to get as much in as I can.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
TTD was part of the ert last year in 06. They must of took it off this year due to Maverick. Raptor was ert on a slow day every so often in 06 and if a ride was down for ert. We ad it for morning ert for CoasterMania in 06. I would love for Wicked Twister to be ert for CoasterMania.
^Are you talking about CoasterMania or early admission?
I remember reading about Millennium Mania. Can anyone explain a little more on that event in 2001 I think?

Nope. Raptor was Joe Cool every day in '06. Believe me, I didn't wake up an hour early every day this summer for nothing!
Millennium Mania was one of the best events I've been too (outside of last fall's Boobuzz).
It was an additional charge (even for season passholders) but well worth the extra money. They opened the park for a couple days each week in September after labor day from 6-10 pm.
My old fart brain is a little fuzzy on exactly what was opened...I know for sure Raptor, MF, Magnum and PT were opened. The longest line, of course, was for MF, but even that was only a 2-3 train wait.
My husband and I rode Raptor in the front without getting off for 4 circuits, and only had to move to different seats for our 5th ride because there were others waiting for the front.
There were very few people who actually took advantage of the event, which really surprised everyone, including CP who had indicated they were limiting tickets. I don't think they sold out at all for any of the available dates.
The second year was a bit busier (we went the same week as 9/11 and they stopped all rides at 7 pm for a minute of silence). That was also the year MF's cable lift broke, I believe after the first week of MM (my son and I went the first day of MM that year and rode MF), so they substituted free rides on Vertigo instead.
Both were really awesome events, but they simply didn't get enough participation to make it worth opening the park and paying employees the additional 8 hours a week. But for those of us who attended, it was like having the park to ourselves.
I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead
