E-mail blast: Please Read

Around 10:20 a.m. today we attempted to do a mass-mailing to let people know that the Planet Snoopy attraction was officially announced. Due to a bug in the mailing code that doesn't generally surface with small test situations of a couple dozen e-mail addresses, some people got dozens of copies of the e-mail.

I know it's annoying, and all I can do is apologize and say we screwed up. Obviously we're going to do our best to make sure that it doesn't happen the next time we send e-mail, if you'll still allow us to send it to you.

I'm so angry I could shake my fist in the air with anger! On a side note I also have not received any emails.

Edit I guess I didn't check the "subscribe to mailing list" option.

For the record, I am subscribe to the mailing list, and didn't receive anything.

I also did not recieve an e-mail. But, I did get the Funtimes News letter.

I'm with the others, I didn't receive anything from PointBuzz.

My RSS reader for some reason sent me all of the CoasterBuzz stories for the past few months. I think that problem is on my end though.

As best I can tell, the number of people who did get it was relatively small, but big enough that it was too many. About 7,000 messages were queued that did not get delivered.

I got 4! The delete button works very effecvtively. Not a very big deal.

I did not receive any email either. Oh well, thanks for trying and letting us know.

I think I got all those copies of the email that some of you didn't receive. Pity I deleted them already or I'd send them to you...I had lots of extras... 8-)

I received 2 copies of the "PointBuzz: Changes to the site" email, which was sent 11:31 PM on 1-18-08.

That's interesting. If you still have them, do me a favor and open them up and look at the raw data, or headers, or whatever your e-mail site/programs does, and look for the header that says X-MessageID and see what the numbers are next to them for both.

I got that email, but only got one. It got marked as spam for some reason though, previous ones hadn't been.

I got one this morning too, I got one back when you first mentioned the issue also.

That you get one is not really the concern. That's what's supposed to happen. :)

Lurker here... but thought I'd let you know that I did get one email (and one only.) I know that's what's supposed to happen, but not sure if you're tracking where it did work correctly as well as when it didn't. :)

I got two copies of the email as well. The X-message ID is 13103 for both messages.

I still have them if you need more info.

I also got two copies. The X-MessageID on both is 11181.
