Dummies

What kind of dummies are they gonna use for TTD ? Should it be te same as they did on MF?
Or maybe they gonna use new dummies who are softer like real human body's filled with water.

Check out this picture and take a look at he back seat of the train in the station.
Is that a dummie ????

Those white tings might be the dummies which have to be filled with water. If so, the blue machine standing behind those dummies could be a pump, pumping water out of the lagoon, or something like that...

If all this is true, full-circuit-testing will start soon!!

I don't understand why the URL isn't working.

Ah, I see, enter will do :D

I'm not sure what those white things are, could be sandbags, could be dummies. I did notice that the pile has gotten smaller, since this morning. Though it doesn't look like there are any more bags/dummies placed in the seats.
Those are the same watter dummies they use on Millennium Force. You can clearly see them on the train that is in view on the construction cam,i think it's the red train, you can see the "head" kind of low in each seat. They aren't as big as humans but they are around 150 lbs i think.

Dummies in the seats are a good sign for all of those waiting for a test run. They could still be testing the block wheels too with weight. It looks like there is a train sitting on the tracks just before the launch, even with the transfer track, can't tell if there are dummies in it though, but the station train definitely has dummies in the seats.

The "dummies" are big L shaped plastic boxes that are filled with water. There were some sitting by MF's transfer track last Labor Day weekend. (they may have been there all year...not sure) I'm sure you can find pictures somewhere of MF testing with these dummies in place.

Yes,that is what is in the train sitting in the station. They had cylinder shaped "heads",that is what you see on the webcam.
Okay...I don't know if the webcams look different on your computer screens or what...but I can't even tell if there is a train sitting in the station let alone WATER DUMMIES sitting in the seats! lol Everything in the station is just a big blurr...or at least thats how it appears on MY computer screen!

Not sure why yours is foggy, you can clearly see a train with what appears to be the white tops of the water dummies in the seats.I could be wrong, but thats what it looks like to me. I have never seen white things in the seats before,i think it can only be the dummies.
No, I don't see some people from GTTP in the seats....

Tanner, cedarpoint.com has three webcams (you can see all three by clicking on "Live Park Cams" on the left of the CP website). The one cam that you're probably refering to is the one on the TTD page. Virtual Midway links to the three cams mentioned before. I'm not yelling at you or anything, I'm just trying to clear up some confusion (though I'll probably cause more :))

P.S. Hmm, the TTD site is down again, must be time for another update ;)

Sorry for being off topic but, how sturdy are those water dummies? Last year when I was in line for Millenium Force, they had just taken the dummies out and one was leaking.

*getting back on topic* I hope this does mean they will start full curcuit testing soon.

Multiple Testing Devices Are used The dummies are reliable but my theory is everything has a problem sometimes. Were they testing MF when you were there.
I would think it is a positive sign, the only reason they use them is for simulation of a human load in the train. They could still be testing the blocks however,I don't see why they wouldn't be load tested like the launch is.

As for testing the launch,is the motor variably powered-I mean if they shoot an empty train, they will need substantially less power than if it is loaded with people. Does the ride somehow weight the train like Power Tower does? (At least i think it does)

They are pretty sturdy. Their made of really hard plastic. But if you drop one just right while its filled with water, it will crack open. Or if a the cap on the head is not on tight enough, water will leak out.

They use the dummies filled with water in combination with the idiots filled with hot air to test the rides out in the mornings.

Cedar Point makes sure than the dummies are protected, They could care less about the idiots though. :)

I was looking at the picture and i see something white in the backround behind the station but i can't make anything out.
